That's the naivety that a lot of people have.
That's not going to happen, of course there can be a game here and there like a Minecraft Legends or Sekiro. But that won't be the norm.
If most people expect COD to be "free on Game Pass", doesn't that mean that they got most COD players on the service therefore helped them achieve their goal, therefore they'll have ZERO reasons to reverse the decision?I think it will devalue COD, they will reverse the decision after sales plummet and then everyone will expect it to be free on gamepass
Another PR nightmare.
Epic games is the best deal in gaming. You get games for literally free. That's never been true about GamePass.well. CoD on Game Pass makes Xbox (Game Pass) better. that's not debatable. The best deal in gaming just got better.
The question is if CoD alone is enough for Game Pass to be as successful as MS wants. I don't think so.
The last point you make is definitely something MS is going to deal with. the management of the studios and internal politics are things still very much at play in the next 2-4 years
bro....MS killed Tango and Arkane and Toys for Bob managed to scape. This is precious. Everyone was saying, "sure Activision may put their smaller games on Game Pass, but NOT CoD". The naivety was supposed to be Call of Duty, but now we're seeing how they're willing to put their biggest cash cow there Day ONE. Naivety is believing they won't do it with other titles.
i will argue that the best deal in gaming is actually all the Free to Play games.Epic games is the best deal in gaming. You get games for literally free. That's never been true about GamePass.
I'd also argue PS+ Extra is a better deal but that's subjective.
Plus this CoD might come with a higher sub cost/tier. So you can't even really tell what the deal is yet.
bro....MS killed Tango and Arkane and Toys for Bob managed to scape.
Now look at the state of fucking industy.
i will argue that the best deal in gaming is actually all the Free to Play games.
But COD is one of the biggest (if not the biggest) IP in united states. so yeah, there you go.
regarding the price point of the service, sure; they have to increse it, maybe between 25-30 USD? (still cheaper that buying game day one)
as I said many times now. Game Pass just don't make sense. but this was not the point of your poll.
I'll admit, I was a bit surprised about Tango Gameworks, but after finding out they were nothing more than a skeleton crew
not worth having a conversation with ignorant/fanboys people like yourself.Bro... Redfall is not worth the toilet paper used to wipe it off, heck the toilet didn't want that turd and overflowed as I tried to flush itNow it's defining the state of the industry??
I'll admit, I was a bit surprised about Tango Gameworks, but after finding out they were nothing more than a skeleton crew, I wasn't as shocked, hardly something that should be defining the "State of the Industry". It's constantly argued that Microsoft is not the leader of anything, until someone needs to be blamed for the state of an entire industry, now suddenly they're somehow leading it somewhere. How convenient.
Or it could bring in more players and subscriptions. Leading to more revenue from all the BS micro transactions in the game. That'll definitely be the short term result.
Probably won't in the short term, but it'll bring in less money and future games could get more and more built around being in a service.
We've seen other games change from knowing it'll be in a service.
That's certainly one outcome. The other is more people get a subscription to GP and keep it. And more people are playing and start buying micro transactions.Less money generated, less on future CoD.
I'd believe it if they made it GamePass exclusive. But I guess you're right that I can't say for sure it'll lose money.Or it could bring in more players and subscriptions. Leading to more revenue from all the BS micro transactions in the game.
Love people that make statements as if they are fact.
Exactly. CoD yearly $80 release will start to lose its prestige.I think the concern is that people could stop buying it at 70$ on any platform if it becomes available on a subscription service for one platform, because that availability becomes associated with a (perceived) lack of quality.
