Possible name for Spider-Man reboot film revealed?

Ironic title given that Sony Pictures are wholly financing and distributing the film worldwide.

It's less of a 'homecoming' for Spider-Man and more of a visitation from his family as he serves a life sentence in a maximum security prison...., in space.

There is exactly zero demand for a new spiderman film. Even spidey fans are tired of this shit.

Give it a rest.

they should just call it "Spider-Man: We Promise Not to Fuck it up This Time. Honest. We Got Marvel in on it. You Guys Like Them, Right?"

Just make a good Spider-Man movie, Marvel/Sony.

I don't care what you call it.

Edit: Fine, they're both responsible.

What Homecoming story are they talking about? When I search the googles, I come up with 252 which is about Spider-Man coming back home from Secret Wars with his Symbiote costume. I'm thinking I must have the wrong one.

Awful title. The world is ready for Spiderman.

This...actually would be a good title. Unorthodox, but they said they wanted to go for an indie vibe with this one.

The World Is Ready For Spider-Man

From what I've heard, they were involved with the casting and have to sign off on everything, but Marvel's the one who's calling the shots. Sony is just distributing the picture.

Edit: Okay, it's a collaboration.

Bring in Kraven the Hunter as the antagonist, and reveal in the climax that him and Spidey both have aunts named May. Then they become best friends.

Or have Kingpin mention Vanessa and Peter replies by saying that that's Aunt May's middle name.

So nobody is talking about Morlun as the possible villain? I must admit, I would not expect interdimensional energy draining steampunk vampire as the first villain in a new Spidey film franchise.

Sony are wholly financing the film. Fiege has a producing credit for sure but at the end of the day Disney isn't even an active investor in the film's production.

You are delusional if you think all Sony is doing on this film is signing cheques. Especially with Tom Rothman at the helm.

They could use the version where he wasnt made shitty, but I dont see him showing up in the first movie

Yeah, you're right, Marvel's not entirely in charge, but I've heard Sony has had a back and forth with them throughout the process so far.

If anything, it's a collaboration. I should have said "Sony/Marvel."

Sony knows they messed up with The Amazing Spider-Man series. They signed a deal with Marvel because one of the most iconic comic book characters of all-time's movie performed under expectations because it was awful, and they know it. Otherwise, why would they agree to sit down with Disney and negotiate?

They may not be investing money, but Disney is still invested in the film. Spider-Man's in Civil War and Marvel's cinematic characters are rumored to be appearing in Spider-Man's solo movie. Like it or not, this Spider-Man is now part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and represents their brand.

They both want the movie to do well. I don't think it's unreasonable to think Marvel's a significant creative contributor to the project. This is more than just a Sony Pictures production or Marvel Studios production. It's a collaboration.

I actually really like this title. Makes sense since Spidey is "coming home" to the Marvel Universe, and since it takes place in high school and homecoming is a HS event

all the other suggested titles are kinda iffy. "Ultimate Spider-Man" or "Spectacular Spider-Man" can get confused with the animated series and might be too similar to "Amazing Spider-Man", "The New Avenger" apes off "The First Avenger," etc. and I don't like just "Spider-Man" since it's too plain and there's already a movie named that
