It's absolutely possible. I did that many times in college. The shitty part is that I am an extremely slow writer because I edit every sentence as I go, so even a 5 page paper could easily take me 10+ hours to write. I pulled a lot of all-nighters in college. Time management is not my forte.

I used to fixate on making perfect sentences as I wrote, but I found it to be much more efficient to just let diarrhea flow and clean it up afterward.

Get all your info together before you start.

Plan that essay out, paragraph by paragraph.

Then sit down and fill in the blanks.

This. With proper planning, it's really not tough to write even super long papers in a short amount of time. Provided you know your subject matter well, and don't spend too much time here, you'll be fine.

An Essay? even easier. You can probably pull off an actual research paper of 12-15 pages (10-14) references in 24 hours.

Super possible. Sources/research can be your biggest and worst time-sink. Use your time very wisely and you can write a great paper in a day. Hope you can instinctively part out relevant texts and skim read!

Even if you dick around, you should at least be able to turn a complete paper in-- it just won't be good

Research the topic well over the next day, and by the end hopefully you'll have enough material to cover and discuss so that the paper will flow right out of you. So you can probably get it done, but you gotta get to work.

Depends on the type of the paper. If it's a research paper that requires academic sources ( 30+ pages of technical lingo) then fuck no. If you can load it up with popular sources go for it.

this... this was a mistake. even if you wait for the last minute to write your term papers you should at least have all your research done beforehand and some sort of outline.

I've always found this the hardest part. If it's a paper on Japanese Tea Gardens in an Art History class...you've got to know what you're going to say and then it should flow naturally. If you've got the knowledge, then what is there to fear That's how I enjoy speeches too, it's all about delivering the knowledge you already have: if you know it, there's no need to BS anything. So if it's "can I learn 7 page's worth of information and prove it with sources" in one day it could be a challenge. If it's a very narrowly focused topic then it would be harder than a broad topic to find multiple and substantial sources.

I think I used to do 5000 word papers in one night quite regularly. Sometimes I even used the amazon look inside feature to come up with sources. Basically it all depends on you finding some useable sources (and a good research question?). The writing is not so much of a problem after that.

This is what you do. You "read" 4 to 7 papers/chapters from books, etc, and from each of them you have to add 3 to 4 sources they cited, because the ideas or study was not originally theirs. But you already know they purpose of those researches, those theories,those points of view, etc (whatever the subject is). That's the added knowledge of ~20 references for less than 50 pages of reading.

To be fair, I had done all the preliminary analysis and bullet-pointing in a word-file beforehand already. It was a 30min analysis of a biochemistry paper and background. I literally had to make the entire presentation still, though. wrote it by 4am, woke up the next morning and ran through it a couple time before presentation at noon.

By far the best presentation grade I ever got. Some people crumble under pressure, others bloom. I'm apparently part of the latter group. :lol

This is actually quite true too. I used to tutor other college undergrads, and you'd be surprised at how underdeveloped some people's critical thinking and writing skills are. For some it comes pretty naturally, for others it's like climbing a mountain. I guess I was born lucky; I don't know many others that can churn out A level papers as quickly as I can.
