Okay, I've never had the organic and don't know if it's different. Or why I can't find a regular bottle on Amazon.
BUT!
I've tried various brands, I've tried "specialty home made organic hippy shit" ketchups and this is just the best.

Another genericized trademark: Xerox

and of course: Windows (and Microsoft)
Also Office, Word, Excel...

Swarovski for cristal jewels and products (at least in Europe)

Until now, I always thought that chapstick was the type of product, not the name of the brand :D :D

EDIT: Pentium used to be synonymous with processor. A lot of people probably had heard of Intel without ever hearing the name 'AMD'

Coca-Cola synonymous with Cola? I'd definitely call bull shit on that.
How can you call bullshit on that? People will often order a "Coke" or "Diet Coke" even when the restaurant only carries Pepsi.

You've obviously never worked at a fast food place where they only serve Coke products because the EXACT OPPOSITE happens just as often. "Can I get a Pepsi with that." Coca-Cola is not even close to synonymous with Cola. In fact, there is a serious divide in consumer minds between the two but people understand they are both colas.

Do you live in the South? Because Coke = cola here.

I think it has to do with what region of the country your in, cause in PA that doesn't happen.

A large number of people actually do refer to soda as just "Coke". More common in the southern states.

But most don't. It's not synonymous. Ask someone to name two petroleum jelly, cotton swab, or tissue brands. Now ask someone to name two cola brands, see how long it takes them.
