The second one is better. While it's a little hard to tell from your picture, I might suggest getting a bit more taken off the back and sides, leaving the more significant length in front.

Thanks for the advice. I cut my hair by myself with some help on the back from my friend. We both had no experience cutting hair, but I guess it worked it out pretty well under the circumstances.
