I just got back from my honeymoon in Hawaii.

My fiancee and I were kicking around the idea of a Hawaiian honeymoon as well. Can you share some info on how you booked the trip? Did you use a travel agency or not? I saw on Expedia you can get some really nice deals if you book the same hotel but obviously we'd want to see multiple islands so I'm a little confused as to the best way to do it.

Thanks!

Yes, I used a travel agency. I live in NY and I found one in Chinatown.

Here's the website:

This was my vacation package.

Now, there are some details that I should point. This tour was primarily for Asian language speakers. However, some of my tour guides did use English every once in a while. I'm pretty sure there are English speaking tours through this company. The final package prices are subject to change depending on prices of booking the hotels and inter-island flights. I also had to tip the tour guides, but it's a small amount ranging from $2 to $5.

Also, my final schedule was not exactly planned out as the description. While I did get to see everything detailed in the package, some of the order of events was mixed up.

This package only included the tour, hotels, and inter-island flights. I still had to book a plane flight from the Mainland. However, the agency also assisted me with that detail.

funny that out of shape BJ is standing in front of a Burger King lol

To clarify, he was getting in line for the Lahaina Chicken Company.

Thanks for the info! This seems like a nice price so it at least gives us a good barometer of what to expect. We also kicked around the idea of doing a cruise to there but it includes a LOT of days at sea which might be a bit much.

The thing about a cruise is that the cruise is usually more fun than the destination. Hawaii is definitely a place you want to spend most of your time.

Szu that's freaking awesome man. I went to Hawaii a few years back and I didn't want to leave, it was gorgeous and the food was incredible.

2 midterms down, 1 left...it's the big one, Human Anatomy, wooooooo

Starting to get fond of my midterms beard...but it'll probably be gone tomorrow.

.

True. Ironically, I actually ate a lot of Asian food in Hawaii. Eventaully, I did get to try several local dishes.

So did I actually, some of the best sushi I've ever had was from Hawaii. But those local fish and shrimp places....hnnnnnngh. Especially the shrimp trucks that went around the island, I will never forget that garlic jump shrimp. It was phenomenal.

Never had spam though. I feel like I missed out.

So I'm in a good mood today.

This picture was originally to show my new haircut, but my hair is dark and the camera doesn't really pick it up well. It's still a good pic and I figured, why not share it. So without further ado (and keep in mind how rarely I show myself), here's Link:

New haircut, and about to change into some Nigerian attire to celebrate their Independence Day on campus. Funnily enough, the photographer didn't take photos after everyone changed into the clothes.

(Last picture I post in 2012, promise)
