Always had him in my team and I remember seeing him in the anime, so I'll always have a sweet spot for him.

Absol: SUCKER PUNCH, MOTHERFUCKER.
Froslass: Snow Cloak is clutch.
Glaceon: Ice types rule. Eeveelutions rule. Having the strongest Blizzard in the game doesn't hurt anything, either.
Mismagius: Probably my favorite Ghost. Also one of the few pure special attackers that can take on Blissey in a 1-on-1.
Gallade: One classy motherfucker.
Milotic: Not a huge fan of its design (it's more like a feminine Gyarados than anything, really), but ever since I caught its pre-evolution on my very first attempt (that's like a 1/1000 chance or worse), I've always used it as my dedicated water type.
Torterra: Speaks for itself.

Looking at some of the new pokemon I feel like the original Red/Blue ones are just so much better. The newer ones look...well, too new. Most of the OG pokemon remind me of normal animals somewhat, but some of these new pokemon just look like they came from space. Though Mew did come from space...ah well.
On another note I was surprised that a friend of mine never played pokemon despite growing up in the middle of the pokemon frenzy of the 90's.

I remember people laughing at me back then in the R/B days when I first chose to train a Magikarp. Then I proceeded to wipe the floor with their sorry asses with this mofo.
My first hilarious battle against a friend also involved this guy. My friend was like "yay let's do a Water Pokémon battle. Little did he know. He went "OMGWTF" as his Blastoise got fucking THUNDER'd.

Has to be Charizard for me. I got Charmander as my first starter on Pokemon Red and when it eventually evolved into Charizard it was my favourite.
