I just wanted to take some pics.

PC in my room.

Everything I'm gaming on right now (besides the 360 stuff and other random things)

Nothing special right now and I still have work to do right there. I've been missing my 360 since February.

Because I can :D.

I'll take more pics once I get my basement cleaned up. I have more games but a lot of stuff is boxed up now.

It's from circuit city like 4 years ago. It's maxim branded but I want to say z line makes something similar. I want to move to a salamander or bdi but they are slightly too long for the corner nook

Wtf. How did you guys end up with an extra shelf? My tower only came with two glass shelves. other than that I really like it, I also bought the matching TV stand, mine is much larger than the first pictured one. Sorta wish I had the smaller one since I've moved in a small small apartment.

Wow, saw some amazing stuff here and now I'm too embarrassed to post mine.

Well at least I got great new ideas for my place once I move out (soon!).
Read whole thread, loved Chittagong's place

My gaming/computing all in one compact setup, needs some undusting though:
20a52th.jpg

A few quick notes
  • Both consoles' optical audio outputs are connected to the Logitech Z-5500 5.1 using an optical switch
  • The PS3 was initially at the left side but I noticed it was blowing too much heat on the X360's HDD so I switched them
  • The keyboard is connected to the PC front usb port for easy switching between the consoles, comes in handy during some PS Home "arguments" :lol

When you going to cut those tags buddy?

yeah LOL I've been thinking in the event that I need to return the sofa to IKEA I may regret removing the tags. I may just tape them to the underside so they are not visible.

If I had some tape.

Is it just the picture or is everything sinking down in the middle? You just have to make sure the 360 doesn't end up on a slant or you might end up with some damaged discs

Yeah you are right, seems the old desk is having trouble handling all that heavy gear. I noticed it only when I wanted to take the pic. I'll think about replacing the desk, reducing the charge or adding some reinforcements

Busted out the tripod to test Photoshop CS4 panorama auto-stitch. I'll add more pics of the shelf and desk later. I'm pretty proud of how well I've hidden a majority of the cables. I need a longer VGA cable I can run through the walls to my TV (the VGA is the ugly black cable dangling down from my TV to the floor).

My setup:
32" Bravia
Old Sony receiver a friend gave me when he got a new one
Old AIWA speakers from broken HTIB
Subwoofer donated to me by a friend upgrading his system
Speaker stands from monoprice (cheap and good enogh)

PC (aging gracefully)
Intel 2.13ghz Core2Duo circa July '06
4gb DDR2800
512mb 8800GT (runs like a champ)
Logitech Wave Wireless KB (wireless mouse is only used for web surfing from bed on my TV)
Logitech G5 Mouse

don't mean to come off as a dick, but I see a lot of expensive gear in bedrooms... either you're young and have rich parents or you should have moved out long ago...

Either way it is probably not healthy to have your couch, bed, fridge, microwave, PC, Home Theatre and piss bucket in your room, you will never learn the human interaction dance which is essential for social development.

you think I'm trolling but I'm so serious

What the hell are you talking about? It's probably not healthy to be taking pictures of your lime green entrertainment center from your ceiling.

Either way, you sound unnessecarily and oddly bitter.

Alright never done one of these post your setups but i lurk em alot and there are some great ones here guys! GJ

This is my setup back in January between semesters

Sadly when I moved back to school i forgot to take a single pic! It was an amazing setup! Then I just realized while looking for pics for it to post I took none!

So here are things currently
Got another stack of 65 games I need to add. I had them all stacked infront of each other, But I packed them because I am moving in 3 weeks so this older one will just have to do.

sink next to the bed is BA

The throne. Though i do very little gaming that far away from my TV it helps when playing ps1 or ps2 game to sit back there.

IMG_0749.jpg

This is my setup as of right now! Just a few new gadgets here and there.
IMG_1010.jpg

Moving in mid August so I will come back with new pics then. And building an HD projector also so that will definitely break up my gaming setup :( But who doesn't want a screen 10 feet wide?

Well considering I am only 20 and attending college and only live at home for the summer not really. I work 3 jobs to pay for college and my hobbies. You should really have more respect for the other people on this forum.

It's called living in an apartment where you share space with other people, or just an apartment with a living room, a bedroom, and a bathroom. I'm a college student, and luckily my parents are paying for four years of it, so I set aside 25% of my paycheck for fun stuff, like my new monitor, or a video game.

Or it's called being a high schooler and working. You can afford to buy these things because you have few other financial obligations.

Or it's called having a job.

Crazy ideas, I know.

Some of these setups, especially the "minimalistic" ones are awesome!

Ooo can I do this too?

I mean being a jerk but waiting and hiding it in spoiler tags

Man, a lot of hate for a simple observation. Obviously I know how expensive life is, been living on my own since I was 16, put myself through school, etc. My point is I see a lot of
26 year old
kids these days driving around $35,000 cars, posting glamour shots of their pimped out bedrooms, but hanging out in public parking lots with all their similar friends because they have nowhere else to go :lol

totally jealous of having pimp gear and no responsibilities, I would be a king amongst men

Man, there are some nice setups in here. I'll be stealing some ideas when I move into my place.

Thinking about setting up a 2nd TV and section of the apartment just for old school games, while the newer stuff will be on the regular TV.

A simple observation huh? Yeah sure...that's all it was. Maybe you should spend less time on being a bitter judgemental asshole and more time on upgrading your clichéd wannabe recording studio that never gets used.

Ouch. Problem with your obvious jealousy is that I have put together a home recording studio for under $5,000 that will assbang anything that you could put together for $25,000 a few years ago. So if by cliché you mean totally sensible and economical with ridiculously professional results then yes, I am a total piece of crap human.

I do however, appreciate the fact that you are concerned that such nice gear is going to waste, trust me, it is, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

As for being bitter and judgmental... we are in a gaming setup thread, waving e-dicks, no?

Finally got around to putting stuff together.

Ninjavanish, I love your layout. It's clean and awesome, but the most clean and awesome is the color of the paint covering your walls. My room is exactly like that, and I constantly get comments about how dark it is and that they don't like it. Dunno if you get that or not, though. :P
