Crazy as it sounds, I went to that site you had up to shop for some clothes for my wife. I want to surprise her with something nice. Thanks.

TXR2678WHX/XAA according to the sticker, I bought it four years ago in anticipation of the 360 launch. But um, calibrating it? I couldn't help you. I tried fixing the overscan myself through the secret menu thing and well I fucked up and didn't write down the old values, now the top looks kind of weird and slightly bent.

:lol

I messed around with my Panasonic 34" CRT TV as well when trying to fix the overscan. Did not end up with results like your TV, but I wished I had wrote everything down. Luckily I had only messed around with the 480I and 480P settings and don't really use those anymore since I have my Xbox, DVR and HDDVD player output to 1080I which did not have any major affects from me adjusting the other settings.

Not pictured a pair of Klipsch SS.5 and a pair of Klipsch SS.3. To round out the 7.1 surround sound I have a Velodyne 12" sub (DPS-12). Need to work on cable management still. I have a very understanding wife:lol .

My wife and I just moved in so this is my 'for now' setup. Also, excuse the horrid green walls. This is something we intend to paint after finishing the rest of the house.
Anyways.

Nice setup, where did you get the component stand?

I actually scored it used from a local guy who was selling it on the AVSforum.com. It is a Bello product. I really like the look and quality. It actually has a wire control feature I haven't taken advantage of yet.

It is funny, besides the TV everything including the game systems I have bought second hand. It has saved me quite a bit of money that I was able to put towards my current computer set up.

My gaming setup is nothing extravagant at the moment (my parents just finally divorced, so my mom is living with me until she's okay to live on her own again), but I did recently buy a new TV (as I said in another thread, it's a 40" LED backlit LCD TV).

The entertainment center and TV together cost less than the TV at its regular price. I really got a steal. My games are not pictured because I recently moved back to the States, and my games are still in boxes all over the apt.

Just moved into my new apartment a couple weeks ago, and I like it. Feels sorta right. Here's the gaming/computing den side of my room :)

What is this little stand you have for your 360 controllers? It looks really neat... any suggestions where I could get one?

IFAIK that's the Energizer charging stand, you should be able to snag it at Gamestop or Best Buy. They also make one for the PS3. :)

^ You have one of my new favorite GAF setups, very cool.

I love the use of space, especially how the arcade cabinets are positioned, as well as that TV stand. I wish I still had a tiered stand, they offer such great console storage.

Dig the posters and general untethered showcase of gaming goodness all over the room. Kudos!

Thnx, I got that TV stand specifically for the console storage. Unfortunately, there's still no room for the Wii, PS3, and 360.

Those do better in the living room anyway, where there's more space for a Rock Band set-up and swinging Wiimotes.

I posted these before in the arcade stick thread, but it probably makes more sense here since it's where I spend most of my gaming time.

Taito Egret II running MAME & Street Fighter IV PC. Currently looking into getting a 360 setup going on it with a spare single-player panel I have laying around. Then I can play the upcoming Cave games on that as opposed to the TV.

The prints were gained from an art trade between my girlfriend and MacIX.

I wouldn't mind having a sink in my room.

When I was a kid I used to dream about having a water fountain in my room that dispensed orange soda. Probably in case I woke up thirsty. :lol

My room stayed much the same, the biggest change is the gameshelves, which have doubled in size. I'm trying to tidy things up too, my room was getting really cluttered with lots of nonsense, so I've put most of it behind the cupboards with the Zelda posters. A lot of my older consoles are now in my bedroom. I just don't know what to do with one corner of my room. Now I've just chucked my special edition boxes there and randomly threw some figurines on there, but I don't like the way it looks, so perhaps some suggestions?

Upgraded my reciever since the last post (Onkyo TX-SR605 to an 806), and added a Denon Universal play for SACD/DVD-A playback.

Now to replace all of my speakers... that'll be in next years thread.

Yes. I can. Wal-Mart! It's by Energizer. You can google energizer 360 controller and it will pop up.
They also make a PS3 equivalent.

yeah, this is my gaming setup. the ps3 and psp are enough for me. and don't mind the old 60gb one. gonna sell it in a few weeks. the slim is just too good. couldn't resist.

my favourite items. met kojima at gamescom this year. took me about 3 attempts to get this autograph. it was an awesome moment. the other autograph is from sebass takatsuka who is the producer of my beloved pro evolution soccer games.

my desk; i don't use the laptops for gaming. bought the little one for the university. i really like it. totally worth the money.

I've been told my speakers are too high, but they sound great to me...

If they are, and the benefit is worth the move, what is a good solution for my current set up (with the built ins)...the L/R speakers could go on stands, but the center one...is just kind of there.

Oatmeal's room is the perfect balance between style and comfyness. I'd love to curl up there on a rainy day :D

Yeah you'll have to put the L/Rs on stands beside your tv. As for the center channel you may have to mount it above your TV or you might have to purchase a new TV stand so that you'll have room to put the center channel underneath the TV.

You mean does it get hot? Yeah in the summer it's pretty intense, but I can always strip naked.

That is a bunch of money spent. LOL You could have saved an entire African country. :lol

Still, it's awesome.

Now you say "have to" like it's mandatory...

But right now, the sound is very good. I have zero issues with how it sounds, but if I'm going to get an added benefit (from spending 100 on speaker stands, and however much on a TV stand) then I would say it's worth it.

This entire setup is just too awesome. I especially like the Mother mini-shrine.

I finally got around to snapping a shot of my rig. Forgive the quality, as I took it with my iPhone and it was a particularly bright sunny day in the Rockies:
