Post Your Gaming Setup: 2009 Edition

Finally got around to taking some shots using a point-n-click camera. Sorry for the inconsistent quality as I'm not the best photographer...

Here's an overview shot of my man cave, it's small but comfy:

My meager game collection (Each shelf has two layers of games stacked up, there's about 100 games in there across all the systems I own):

Looking good! One hint: Logitech Harmony universal remote is your friend. I had 525 earlier which broke down and I got the cheapest model (515) as a replacement which controls only 5 devices but is definitely enough for me. A must purchase for gaming/home theater enthusiasts. ;)

PS3 is bluetooth though, so you'll need to buy an adapter

True that, just like the Wii. Currently I have AV receiver, TV and X360 which I'm able to control with Harmony remote, but it's definitely been worth it. No more remotes everywhere. :)

Just moved in with the girlfriend so managed to pool our stuff together:

Photo quality is terrible as camera is still in a box somewhere.. along with my desktop PC which I've yet to find a home for

With my new TV. Nice and plain. Some older consoles and such hidden beneath the cloth, nothing that produces too much heat to overheat them though :P

I've gotten some new systems and reorganized my game room. As always, I'm not one to care for decorations or tidyness...just a nice little space to play games.

My Wii setup. Nintendo is my favorite company and Wii is my favorite system this generation:

I love this thread.

It's so easy to distinguish between a child, a man child, and a "grown up" that it's not even funny. :)

Will post my gaming setup soon.

My room stayed much the same, the biggest change is the gameshelves, which have doubled in size. I'm trying to tidy things up too, my room was getting really cluttered with lots of nonsense, so I've put most of it behind the cupboards with the Zelda posters. A lot of my older consoles are now in my bedroom. I just don't know what to do with one corner of my room. Now I've just chucked my special edition boxes there and randomly threw some figurines on there, but I don't like the way it looks, so perhaps some suggestions?

That's not a game room, that's a shrine!

I know I can't possibly be the only one here who's happily married, with a dedicated room for all my embarrassing nerd shit.

I really love this thread, once in a while I check it out to see all those great setups. I've taken some time to take some pictures of my apartment to contribute to the thread.

Nothing has really changed from last year, when i moved in to this place. I only got a new sound system and I got an iMac earlier this year. I really like the Onkyo sound system; I've chosen for a 2.1 solution because of the wire clutter involved with a 5.1 system. It also sounds great now that I have everything hooked up properly.

That is the most sterile setup I think I've seen in all my years at gaf browsing this thread.

It looks very good though... downside is I wouldn't want to sit in that room, it'd feel like I"m dirtying it. Makes for stunning photographs though.

I don't game on my PC, so I omitted the office setup. I will post it if I happen to run into "cheap" ways to get poster frames and all these movie and game posters printed.....

All the good screens/cameras are at home, but here's my college setup anyway :D

Hopefully once I get my degree and start earning some serious money, my setup'll look more like some of the ones I see in this thread..

Mrs C and i both have our own dedicated gaming "pit"

i am in the process of cleaning up and waiting for some bits to help make the place look less of a zoo, but will add the following rack shot :

IKEA FTW! I have that same couch, very comfy! I'm always worried one day I'll sit down too fast and break the shit.

bad-joey I thought you were rich, but then I saw the IKEA furniture xD

JK, it looks really modern. Kinda like what you would see in a Wii Experience Video, nice job =D

I may have to agree, his pics looks like something you'd see in an interior design catalogue, only with more gaming stuff than usual.

Anyway, here's my modest rig/pile of Doom, it certainly pales in comparison with you lot though. (Sorry about the rubbish pics)

Gamingsetup.jpg

PileOfDoooo.jpg

TV: LG 32LH4000 (Modded to play DivX through the USB port)

PC: Built from scratch this year
CPU: Q9400 @ 3.6Ghz, cooled by a Zalman CNPS9500A-LED
GPU: ASUS Geforce GTX 275
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-EP45-DS3P
Sound: Creative X-Fi Xtreme Gamer via Logitech Z-4 speakers and a Creative Fatality Headset.
Case: iCute 0508ULA w/14cm front case fan

And as you can see, a 360 with the official wireless wheel (Damn you Forza 3!!)

Well, Slight double post here (as nobody had posted this weekend!) but I have changed my gaming pile of doom to a nice gaming shelf of Dooooom.
