Had to dig these off the old computer, and damn am I embarressed by the early ones xD And yeah, I used to post on Insomniac Games a lot and I might be a huge Ratchet and Clank fan =P
Boring factoids no one cares about: My favorite font is on second sig down called Angry Blue, Betty Curse one of my fav bands that no ones heard of and most of these had matching avatars to xD

I used to (and still do) frequent a lot of forums where signitures are the norm so I've amassed a lot of god-awful sets since I first started using Photoshop.

Yeah, it would probably be a clusterfuck on this kind of forum, esp. with the amount of users. For smaller forums though I think it's almost nessesary. It's another way of standing out and being recognised, getting a place in the community etc.Plywood said:
That said - if you really hate sigs - almost all of the places I frequent with them enabled allow users the option to diable them. I'd prefer a system like that in all honesty.

I like how the ads give an ad for the GIMP.
Also, one of you guys' signatures is STILL loading even though I loaded most of them. Imagine if we had to deal with that on a day to day basis.

ah but you see, avatars aren't big enough to properly exhibit the dark and brooding depth of the teenage soul, so signatures provide a larger canvas for that.Lo_Fi said:

My old sig use to be text which would say something along the lines of
"And then I would say [insert whatever you want] but in actuality this is not a continuation of my post but part of my signature. You have just wasted 5 seconds of your life to read this"
It wasnt that word for word but along those lines. I would get alot of replies or PMs about how they hated me. It only works on forums that dont completely separate their signatures from the posts though.

Don't have a shot but I used one of those live winamp playlist/last song played sigs. I was never much of a sig man.
Why would I want to embarrass myself by saving any signature I ever had?
It's amazing. You go to these forums, click on a thread, and there's more signature than post.
I think my favorite is when they have text signatures but don't separate it from the post, so you're reading some post and suddenly the guy just starts rambling on about whatever, and it takes you a few seconds to realize it's a fucking signature.

Nothing makes reading forums more annoying than signatures with pictures in them.
Having said that, IGN's old signature system where you were given 250 character of plain text was fantastic. It really helped you familiarize yourself with other users.

Always a text signature, unless it was a logo for sites or forums I was advertising (Gamenikki, Got-Next/The Next Level, etc).
I always put "America's Favorite Negro" in the sig somewhere, heh.

Didn't have image signatures.
But whenever I was posting on a message board with text sigs back in the way, the first one was always the same.

Used a WoW one for awhile on our guild forums around 2005-2007 that tracked stats from the armory in (daily) real-time.
I just visited a sig-generator now to use with my (inactive sub) main character I used to play. Worked, surprisingly!
And Doctor Who, I totally remember your sig from SG!! And your username.
