Potato Chips!

OK Gaf... three questions:

  • Do you prefer Jays* or Lay's for regular potato chips?
  • What's your favorite regular potato chip, if not one of those two?
  • What's your favorite chip, period, potato or other, "regular" or otherwise?

EDIT:
* Turns out it's a regional brand. Substitute your own dominant regional brand here!

1. the fuck is jays

2.

Lays isn't fit to be in the same store as this manna.

I prefer these lays:

as far as my favorite chips, these are the best ones, found in Mexico. The Doritos in the U.S. are so "dry" in taste compared to these. They have a hint of jalapeno.

Not sure what Jays is so I will go with Lays...
Hmm favourite brand? Probably Old Dutch or Doritos.
Favourite types would be All Dressed, Dill Pickle, Ketchup, Doritos Bold BBQ, or Kettle Cooked Jalapeno and Chedder.

I actually saw a special on potato chips last night...it blew my mind...

Fritos ...Cheetos...Doritos...I had no idea they all used the same naming structure.

UTZ is the best potato chip brand.

Regular potato chips are too plain. They're not bad, but I see no reason to eat them over flavored chips.

BBQ are probably my favorite chip type. Sour Cream & Onion is a close second.

Utz and Cape Cod are good too. The Utz dark russets are particularly bangin..

I prefer chips made with Olestra that ensure I'll be dropping a duce during my mid afternoon drive while in the car.

Lays "40% less fat" Sea Salt & Vinegar kettle chips. Right in line with Cape Cod.

Really great crunch, not greasy to the touch.

Kettle versions of all chips (Kettle brand, Lays, Cape Cod) are superior to standard. Flavor selection needs improvement though for the "40% less fat" versions but it's getting there. If you don't care about a little bit of grease on your chip then Kettle Brand's flavor selection is impressive and growing.

Regular yellow-bag Lays chips, in 2015, are an abomination.

Kettle chips , the people above know whats up.
and my favorite flavors are usually BBQ and either original with sour cream and onion dip... or that flavor.

What where how

We have kettle around here but never seen that

I can't recall having seen them either. I am HIGHLY skeptical that I would like them more than the buffalo, but I'll certainly snag a bag if I can.

I also fucking loved the loaded baked potato flavor, but they stopped making it :(

RIP, you delicious bastard.

Mike Sells is a good Dayton brand, and Cincinnati has Grippo's which are also good and we can get those up here. If I'm going for a big brand I would get those ridged cheddar Ruffles. So good.

Cool Ranch Doritos are my all time though, except or maybe fresh tortilla chips with salsa.
