I agree with you. Same reason as well. I heard the casting/entire project was rushed for that season and it shows. MF cast are at least attempting to emote. They're watchable as opposed to flat, robotic, lifeless cringe. Samurai felt like a porn parody but without any payoff.
 
Oh yeah, that's another thing.

What would have been effective? The Dino Thunder theme playing or something while they just beat up the monster. Instead we're just incessantly hearing from Troy about how limited their Legendary Morph juice is or some shit.
 
Will never get tired of the chat going crazy whenever Astronema re-appears in a clip.
And I know because I'm right there with them.

A shame they won't show the extended Legendary Battle moment for her (even if Karone is there).
 
Sentai has been shifting towards more rubber suit villains lately. Though the last two that they've had have been in the series that they skipped. Z in Toq and Enter/Escape in Go-Busters.
 
Today I finally understand why they decided to swap Jake with Noah instead Jake with Gia. It was for the only purpose of fusing two episodes into one.

For reference: In Gokaiger the yellow and green swapped bodies. But with this change they can use footage of another episode where the Green creates a double key's barrel's gun.

It's easier to explain that the Blue create that new gun while he was in the Green Body than having to film the blue one do the same, I think.

Between this and the fact that we've been getting rubber suit Rangers in Zyuohger and Kyuranger, how much longer do you think it is until Sentai becomes nothing but rubber-suit characters?

Nah, contracts with idol agencies will pretty much stop that from ever happening. The rubber suits in Kyuranger are just there in order to have more Rangers without actually increasing the cast. Note that we still have 5 Rangers with actual actors.

that and Japan's love of inserting comedians in Toku movies...and yea it's easy to see that the non-human rangers were a cost saving measure, so long as they can continue going to other worlds, I'm fine with them doing this. On the plus side, the talent they hire for the suits are usually veterans and fun to hear.
 
I have been passively listening to this season all day in the background, but this season is just.... bizarre.

Like, everything seems like it was done with the barest effort possible.

It brought Mao Ichimichi back to tokusatsu. That alone means I'm fine with it.
 
And here's where the writers try to pass off Go-Onger's F-Zero-esque Machine World as Corinth/The Domed City of Boston. Suuuuuuure.
 
Okay, after this I need to watch a few sentai, because it's apparent that shit is getting butchered in Super Megaforce.

I'm am personally curious on Magiranger, Shinkenger, and Gokaiger.

Maybe Go-Busters to just to see what the fuck happened in that series

I think it was paraphrase somewhere, but I distinctly remember it being a really shitty deal and they were only looking for 10 people to sign up (this includes JDF).

That's another big problem with this season. It keeps mixing Sentai and PR terminology. Like the writers never consulted the series bible while working on it. I get they had 20 seasons to keep track of, but a lot of companies have people for that sort of thing.
