in the gaming age screens, the characters and hud are stretched. youre just blind apparently.RiZ III said:Don't think its actually messed up aspect ratio wise. Its just a rectangular pic instead of the square ones we're used to. The characters or hud isn't stretched if u look at it. Cover the sides of the pic and look at it.
wait a minute they didn't change Fokker's name? :lol I thought he was called Falcon in the American version.cae said:Power Stone Collection Trailer

Powerstone 1 was SOOO good, 1v1 fights were teh awesome. Powerstone 2 wasn't as good as first one, even with 4 players. Dont remember why.

The only games I want on PSP are ports. =/
Valkyrie Profile + Power Stone Collection + Gradius Portable + SFA3 ftw.

That was exactly my reaction, why this game series wasn't more popular when it was out on Dreamcast, I will never know why. It's freaking gold.op_ivy said:oh.my.god.

I'm worried but, about how well the game will fit on the blurry PSP screen, moreover by the contrast of colors wich sufered on the original.
also, I'm asking for a DS versión. Why the hate Capcom?

DS version?!?
Man, WHAT?!

I agree. It's a good game, but I never really saw the appeal of handheld fighters. Especially with the PSP's d-pad, though it'll be better for something like Power Stone vs. 2D fare like Street Fighter.Ronok said:Wow some serious over reactions in this thread....... Nash said:Yes. Power Stone 1 is actually quite an underrated fighter by a lot of people, most people played it like a party game. Turn of the bonus weapons and you have a really balanced reflex-based fighter. There's lots of subtle things like you have a small window to cancel your opponent's supers, catching thrown items, and stuff like that. It's got a completely different sort of depth to move-based fighters, it's depth comes from knowing the right thing to do in the right situation, but between 2 well-matched players you can have some great fights.
Power Stone 2 just threw all that away in favour of being the party game that everyone had assumed the first was. It's not a bad game, and good for a laugh, but much shallower and completely unbalanced compared to the first.
Leave, just leave.tanasten said:I loved Power Stone on Dreamcast and I had ever hoped a port to the Cube. I never understood why Capcom was fuzzying this brand. So much good gameplay, simple and fun.

Warm Machine said:Power Stone never ever got the respect it deserved. When it was released all I ever heard from fighting game players was that it lacked depth. I found it to have completely reinvented the fighting genre. The depth was not found in the traditional code breaker button combos but in using the enviornment and using the counter dodges to manuever around the other player Matrix style. Hopefully so many years after its release it finds the sort of audience it should have.
