Powerstar Golf currently free on Xbox One?

Just tried here in Italy: it seems to have worked.

EDIT: oh, i see the "buy single courses" thing.

I already had the whole game, so I did not notice this.
 
Alright it seems you can unlock new FREE events after finishing the Training event. That opens a showcase event then a versus event. On the same screen they try to upsell you to a full course.

Which is kinda gross if this is what it was like for full paying folks.

I pretty much hate anything with a f2p model.

I tried PayPal once with PS3 and it didn't like that my addresses didn't match.
Seemed like a too big of a hassle, so have avoided it on consoles since then.

So the game before it went "F2P" was $20. Now there's 4 DLC packs at $6 each for a total of $24.

So essentially Microsoft raised the price of the full game by $4 lol.

Mine doesn´t match either (PayPal in Germany, US store), but it works great.
I set it up on the Microsoft billing website.
 
Do I see people getting mad because they thought they were gaming the system and got a demo instead? Ha. I bought it at launch and it is a really good arcade golf game...maybe the only next-gen golf game released so far? Anyway, funny thread.
 
To own it all costs $43.95 now, I think. That's four original courses, the one freebie they added and the four DLC courses.
 
Guessing they changed the model due to poor sales
You had your chance to get it before this so can't really complain

I was too. I had just gotten up to work out, which I really didn't want to do. It was a nice surprise.

I'll need an extra cup of coffee to overcome this injustice, and for what it's worth, I blame Steverulez.
 
The full game costs $19.99/ £15.99 and that includes all the courses and characters, if you add up all the different offers you get the $43.95 but that's with duplicates

Original release was buy $20 Copy for everything, this one follows ki model where you get the base game for free but instead of being able go buy individual characters you buy courses

ok, thanks, despite of owning already the game I think this is a good option, at least people who are on the fence can try the game, which I gotta say it's worth its price

Wasn't that way in the full game, stuff unlocked as you went along but I didn't ever get asked to buy anything.

There are microtransactions but they nerfed them somewhat a while back iirc
 
So what do you get with this then? Seen people saying you can play more than 3-4 courses in career mode but others saying nothing but one course in unlocked. Can someone clarify?
 
The free download has a 1 hole training event which then unlocks two more events, a 5 hole round with holes from each course and a 5 hole event versus an AI player as far as I can tell.
 
I'll accept it as a demo and buy courses if I like it. I like this model, but curious what happens to the people that bought it at full price(?)
 
Bought it Day One. Very fun game, though I haven't had the time to really sink into it that I would like. Everyone should get it now!

EDIT: Even with it being a glorified demo, go for it. If you like it, buy courses or buy the full version or however it works now!
