Pragmata |OT| Tactical Hacking Action

Just finished Pragmata this evening, sensational game, easily my game of the year currently, and will take something very special to top it.

Played through on PC, but it was so good i'm seriously tempted to double dip and play through it on the PS5 Pro as well.

From what I gather you get the same enemies but they're tougher.
No in training sim enemy is the same level as standard difficulty.

I checked compare to Lunatic difficulty enemies on training sim go down much faster and you take less damage.

Just reached the fourth area. The game is polished and fun. Fourth area seems cool i guess but GOTY material? nah.. not close to RE9 in any way

It is a good action game and has lots of weapons and fun mechanics for sure but the story is quite uneventful so far and it can get a bit precitable imo

Best game of the half year

I'm at the 2nd Biome and so far, this is already better than RE Requiem...

- Environmental text that's actually readable and not some.jumbled, AI slop
- Much better shooting feeling (great hit-stun effect, more "crunchy" than RE)
- No G'damn terrible, low effort stages that feel literally unfinished like the Racoon city one or the cradle in Requiem.
- Actually great OST
- Story you say ? RE9's one was the usual, convoluted, hole-filled bullshit RE one..."I made sure not to hit her vital spots" LMAO

The more I think of RE9, the more I think that's overrated as fuck, it wasn't "bad" or anything, just extremely disappointing when it came to...half of the game really

Finally arrived

Been sold out on Amazon Japan since release and it took this long to get my copy even though I had my pre-order locked in before then. Hyped to finally dive in though contemplating holding off since my copy of Saros arrives on Saturday and I'm still playing Marathon and Hades 2, decisions decisions...

Love this game, held off playing re:requiem for this, completed the game on standard and unlocked and finished everything and now just need to see if play the game on lunatic as just need that trophy then will get plat to 100% , so far game of year for me, loved it on ps5 pro

Alright, started it up, couldn't resist. Already in love, Diana is adorable, writing is fantastic, visuals are jaw-dropping on Pro, DualSense haptics on point, can already tell this is going to be special 👌

Be careful when buying used physical games for the Nintendo Switch 2, especially for titles that have just launched.A recent buyer purchased a discounted copy of Pragmata for Switch 2 listed as "Like New" through Amazon dealsWhen inserted into the console, the game card became stuck and the Switch 2's cartridge reader pins were damaged, leaving the system unable to read any other games.Inspection revealed it was fake but looked almost identical to the official Capcom and ESRB label. It was completely empty with no game chip, contacts, or other hardware. This has been happening recently and appears to be a common return scam in which the internal components are removed from a real game before it is sent back to the retailer. To protect yourself, examine any used cartridge for proper weight, a solid feel without rattling, accurate markings on the back, and a secure fit in the console slot. When possible, test the game in your system before finalizing the purchase from a third-party seller.

The latest Nvidia driver and / or shader comp forced by the driver update seems to have fixed some of my technical issues, particularly the missing textures. Kinda wish I wasn't already more than halfway through the game by the time it was fixed but I guess that's my early adopter tax.

I beat it a couple days ago but finished the post game challenges and the rest of the training sessions yesterday. Very good game. Enjoyed my time with it a lot. Definitely a contender to be in my top 5 GOTY. That damn movement drift though was a pain in the ass to fight all the way through tough, if that would have been fixed it would have been even more enjoyable. It made some of the platforming parts a little irritating though it wasn't a game breaker.

Finally beat it and man what a journey. Would be very shocked if this isn't my GOTY by years end. It just does so many things well, from a fresh perspective on a tps with the hacking, the music throughout was great but by far that was the best was the affinity between Hugh and Diana. Outside of maybe TLOU one, I don't know if I have ever ended up caring more about the characters than in this game. Hell for how much I liked playing the actual game part of it, I felt like I was looking forward to giving Diana REMs and just talking to her in the shelter just as much.

I rarely ever replay story games like this, especially back to back (maybe years later if I forget or whatever) but think I will go for this again and maybe go for the platinum. I enjoyed it that much.

As for cons, nothing too drastic just some minor issues:

- hacking would sometimes be a little wonky when fighting multiple enemies. Annoying hacking one bot, then another jumps in front of you and you get a new board

-Difficulty. I don't mind games that are on the easier side but there wasn't much of any challenge. I think I died once my entire playthrough and that was me early in the game being greeting trying red zone mission with low health/heals

-length. I usually complain that games are too long and should trim it up, this is the rare game it could gotten a little more. There aren't that many sections to begin with and the one section is fairly short with minimal action going on.

Again, the issues were very minor to me and really would just be something I hope they tighten up with they make this a running IP. Bravo to Capcom.

the game is so polished and hits the sweet spot in so many areas, can't even fault them for the tiny nitpicks and flaws. Feels like they totally were aware of it, but was like okay, but this way will reach the most number of satisfaction across the board for the most people, rather than an actual oversight cause they couldn't help it

What I really like about Hugh is unlike most "dad" characters these days his not suffering from depression or trauma, he just very likeable character which makes the ending that much impactful.

I was checking today and this game has a sick steam review score and looks to be number 1 on wishlist activity on steam on my steamdb. I think word of mouth will make this one have legs or even be evergreen. I think sales on this one will move a lot of units. Lots of new people want in but not at full price.

I just love Capcom as a company.

I've been working at the same studio for more than 20 years and I still love it there but if I ever had to jump ship I would do my best to apply there.

Just quality games and zero controversy.
