Nope, Steamworks isn't available. It's using Ubisoft's DRM that requires constant internet connection.

Yes, that's the likely scenario. You need to sign in to play the title, so they'll just deactivate every key that was bought during this time period.

They COULD do this but I don't know if it's likely. Certainly would be the first time I heard of a digital download store canceling a purchase on a pricing error.
