Fucking thank you for this thread. Peach has been my favorite since I was a kid, actually think I'm going to get a Peach-related tattoo sometime soon. Maybe the crown?

On topic I'm hoping that we see something from her in Odyssey. She does have the powered tiara after all, so here's hoping. But it's Nintendo so I'm not expecting much.

I'll be pretty disappointed if they gave Peach a magic tiara in Odyssey and didn't make her a secret playable character. It'd be awesome seeing her do all kinds of acrobatics, though that might not match her characterization up to this point.

Also I feel like a lot of the time when Peach is brought up a lot of the criticisms of her border on a disgust towards femininity/femaleness in general. She's not always given a lot to do but not sure why that makes people despise her.

This is the Peach that deserves a game more than anyone else. It's by far my favorite incarnation of the character, & 95% of the reason I like Daisy is because I projected this personality onto her as a kid after learning this wasn't Peach's canonical personality, whereas we knew Daisy could punch-out Bowser thanks to Mario Party 3.

EDIT: I now see your post insulting Daisy, luulubuu, but look inside: she's the Peach you've always wanted.

Peach deserves a good game regardless, though. SPP had some clever ideas but was easy as hell. I'd love a Mario-tier platformer for her, Daisy, & Rosalina to take charge. Maybe with a Captain Toad-esque twist to prevent it from feeling like it could be done in the newest Mario game. What that'd be, I don't know. I hope it's story driven & that Daisy's as badass as she deserves to be in it.

Sure, the idea of Peach rescuing Mario is admirable... but the idea that her main means of interacting with the world is by having a stereotypical emotional overreaction to everything is a bit insulting to women, to say the least.

One of the things I've wanted since Rosalina's introduction is either a platformer or an RPG starring the Princesses.

Peach and Rosalina both are super popular. I don't understand why they don't do it. Also, Daisy deserves better than spinoffs.

The funniest/saddest thing I found in Mario vs Rabbids was that Peach was SO POWERFUL I often had to exclude her from more technical fights because she would usually end up doing too much damage to too wide an area triggering certain traps of movement based enemies. I had to take her out of the roster because she was TOO STRONK.

And she mostly obliterated my dudes as well with her insane range and damage.

In any Mario game where I have the option of Daisy over Peach, I choose Daisy. If Rosalina is in there I start to wish Peach had been bumped to make way for a decent character in the line up.

That avatar is part of the reason why I think Peach is lowtier. Like she has this weird "I dunno what's happening" thing going on in the mainline games and smash and it's like they don't push hard enough for it register as snark. Like the ONLY time were I got that she was being actually being snarky instead of actually being dumb was the The smash taunt and the ever annoying "oh did I wiiiiiin" win quote.

I have a hunch that Odyssey may turn things around for her though now that Koizumi is at the helm but we'd have to wait and see.
