printing your own (retro) game posters

I got my two Monkey Island posters (the same ones from the OP) delivered last week and the quality is awesome! It's actual poster paper too, I thought it would be a glossy photo or something. Now I just have to find some nice frames for them. I'm thinking simple dark-coloured wood frames, to fit in with the atmosphere of the games. I'm actually having quite a hard time finding those. It's all aluminum or something, it doesn't fit the posters at all imo.

Back when I was in the university (and also writing about games, having access to press artwork) I did a lot of printouts. Most of them are just wasting space now, although I'm using a few. I have the early night-elf WoW artwork and the SotN group shot in A3 format at my cubicle at work, and I framed the main SotN cover artwork, also A3, by stripping out some crappy random art from a nice, faux-classy frame. There's also a few square Ikea frames with great pixel art from a couple of games that I made (SotN, Suikoden, Another World, Mega Man 2, Flashback and Super Metroid).

Also, I printed a bunch of great WoW screens but I haven't done anything with those yet... which reminds me...

Could you post a list of all the large artwork (by that I mean the .jpegs or whatever) you have from which games?

Thanks for this thread. Printed a few for myself, and these are just for my loo :)

The Katamari wallpaper everyone is asking for is on the Katamari site at katamari.namco.com. Here's the direct links to the wallpaper, though:

1024x768

1280x1024

There are a lot more on the site in the same style, too. On the main menu, click "Presents" and then click the "Wallpapers" tab.

Thank you for posting this. I won't need to hunt for a new wallpaper for my laptop for a long time thanks to this site :)

Cross posting this between here and hi-res because these are all perfect for posters:

Framed game art rocks. You can print out 5x7's for .99 cents at the CVS instant photo machine.

Here are a few that I printed out but haven't had a chance to frame yet.

I got that one as an original PS2 poster from a store, little damaged though.

I LOVE THIS THREAD! Sucks getting these made at full size is so expensive arrrgh!!! Is there a cheaper solution to this?
Actually, it's not that expensive. I used FullSizePoster.com to print an ICO poster once. They are pretty cheap and they do an amazing job.

Apologies for bumping this very old thread, but in light of what happened to Lucas Arts, I was wondering if there were any updated resources where to find those images?

I'd be very keen on making high quality prints!
