Is the gamecube controller compatible with the Wii verison?
(Not really for myself but for multiplayer sake with friends).

Any idea when it will be released on PSN for the PSPgo?

it's kinda frustrating

so cruel. My whole existence is starting to become a meme :(

In all seriousness, we have no idea and haven't heard a peep from Konami. I actually quoted an article in the previous thread where it stated it would be released on PSN during the launch of the PS2 and PSP versions, but that article has since been pulled.

i played and reviewed it. it was terrible. not only from a graphical point of view.... the gameplay is a mess. pretty arcade-ish. as i already said: the game reminded me of gameloft's football game for DS...real football or somethin' like that. please don't buy this game :( you'll regret this. and i'm not saying this as a PES fan.

I saw the bundle, and my mouth dropped. It looks so pretty... !

Also, I predict sales bump for PSP next week in Japan.

I am starting to loss patience, they are making me consider FIFA10.

I need a football gameeeeeee!

Didn't you post on the WENB forums? I'm surprised those guys don't have any info on Pro Evo on PSN.

If it doesn't show up, I'll just wait for FIFA World Cup in April. I wonder if Konami is waiting for the retail channel to clear the UMD versions before releasing on PSN? It's hard to read into the reasoning behind some of these decisions.

wtf, why is it so hard to buy some new players? i'm more than 10 years into the master league and won every title. but it's still to hard to buy anyone. even players with 70 to 75 points.

Maybe you have 32 players (max) in your team. Thas why you cant buy or make an offer to any new player (IMO)

Fingers crossed is drops this week

Played a match online there against a guy from Belgium (I'm in the UK) and it was very laggy :( Haven't played online in a while but was pretty disappointed with it. Managed to scrape a draw though :p

A review from a winning eleven fan:
http://winningelevenblog.com/blog/pes-2010-wii-review/

Grayhound and team have further developed the playmaker style of control and it is nearing its full potential as a result. It is actually inching ever closer to a feeling of full control over every aspect of the game while maintaining the sense of freedom in play and strategic/tactical options the core mechanics had always offered with the ability to move multiple players since the games first appearance on Wii in 2008.

Little things like allowing you to control a single player with the nunchucks control stick in attack and defence situations, plus the ability to alternate between dribble speeds when in possession of the ball and not relying solely on point or drag dribbling almost (but not quite as yet) give the players a sense of individuality missing from the playmaker style of play before.

Passing is surprisingly crisp and very freeform in nature with your imagination (something that the game rewards in spades if you tune into its way of thinking) being the only barrier in creating lovely moves and stunning goals. The overall feeling is that the game played this way is now trying to encompass some of the benefits of playing the game with a pad and they have come so close to pulling it off.

With motion sensor control coming to the next gen consoles in the next year Seabass and the team behind the 360 and PS3 versions of the game could take some inspiration from Grayhound and his team if it is something they are seriously looking at.

PES on the Wii continues to surprise and comes across as something of a labour of love of Grayhound and his team at PES/WEP. The playmaker style of play that can only be found in this version of the game is evolving nicely with each release and is no longer merely a ‘unique’ method of playing a football videogame but instead is being refined in order to offer an experience hard to ignore.

To go along with all this it does bring some fresh ideas to the franchise as a whole (and football games in general) that the next gen version could learn from and there is some comfort to be taken from the fact that someone with Greyhound’s vision and ambition is part of the PES development cycle, and long may this continue.

This game needs more online players!
PES fans should be ashamed to miss this version. Ashamed!

Ok, how do I extend contracts in ML? Or is it done automatically? I can release players but I can't offer them new contracts...

you can extend contracts in the winter and summer breaks. depending on how you treated them some players don't want an extended contract.

Totally shelved my PS3 version, this year's Wii version is freakin' godly and close to fixing almost all the gripes I had with the previous iterations (mainly about missing the "tension" and full control over a single player in favour of control over a full team... and I wanted both! Fixing the analog stick running, attacking and defending with the stick... the game really improved from 2009!).

I still think the co-op is a missed opportunity though, could be the greatest thing ever if only you'd be able to assign as many players as you like to Player Two's classic controls.

2008 was a novelty and something to see great potential in, a good football game but NOT PES (and I love PES).
2009 was a refinement, better than 2008 in every way but still not really showing as much improvement as I'd liked to, besides the most wanted addition of the classic controls... which you could find better on other consol and not a reason to own the Wii version for sure.

2010 is *close to perfection*.
PES Wii's finally a game I can replace "old" PES with, since it basically does nothing short of adding a whole game on top of what the other platforms offer, and NOT again consider this version as just a lovely side game to own besides"classic" PES because we like the novelty of a pointer based football game (like it was, at least for me, for 2008 and 2009).
Of course I will still fire up my PS3 version once in while because the graphics sure are nice, but there's a pretty big difference with last year where I could never think about gettin' rid of X360's PES and just have the Wii version, no way.

It's a totally solid game on every aspect, and Grayhound's team can start racking in the smooth improvements towards perfection that development time will inevitably allow for the next iterations, maybe even concentrating a bit more on the graphics side (even just adding an HDR-like lighting effect would do wonders).

you guys better stop praising the Wii version, I really can't afford to buy another game this year :(

If you're in the UK, the PAL version is already cheap (like £24 shipped).
No doubt it'll be £18 in late December/Jan.

Soccer is my religion and I have a new god.
Close to perfection? This can't be said enough.

I have the same comments than you about PES 2008 and 2009. I completed a Master league season in a week and the more matches I played, the more incredible the improvements appeared to be. Everything is perfectly balanced in this new edition, the defense is now just as precise and fun to play as offense. All the small gameplay refinements elevate this game to the pinnacle of the control you can have in a sports game.

Pleeeaaaase try it, it's now very easy to get into, much more than previous versions. For the first time ever I'm going to post videos of my goals on youtube. I scored goals I had never saw in a soccer game.

It is real soccer, plain and simple. Passing, player movements have never been so well rendered. Of course it doesn't look as good as HD Fifa 2010, but what happens on the field and the control you have over everything makes it more realistic eventually.

PES Wii 2010 is a gem, it has become my favorite soccer game ever, and I played them all these last 20 years. Uncharted 2 was going to be my GOTY but it will be a close second to this version of PES on Wii.

SUCH GREATNESS. UNBELIEVABLE.

Anyone know where I can learn how to do the tricks in Winning Eleven 2010 for PS3?
Just randomly move the left stick, the way it's meant to be. It's clear that Konami didn't intend for you to be able to pull any of those tricks off. :lol

Yea, wanted to skip this version due to the insanely short time since version 2009, damn Konami...

How is online in Wii 2010? Still camera warping on less than ideal connections?

I didn't try the online myself yet since I wanted to improve a bit and besides I had my Wii off the internet, I definitely will sunday night tho.

PES 2010 Survey

So, basically, if you think the game's awesome, don't bother with the survey. If you think it sucks though, might as well fill it out. At least they know they fucked up judging by the option in the survey. :lol

Again, if you have good taste and love PES6, try PES 2010 wii, and see how they enhanced the gameplay to a new level.

I seriously hope you're just playing along and not actually considering buying a Wii for PES...

i played the first PES for Wii. It was okay but it didn't appeal to me like it did to others...
dunno; i'm just not into this waggle stuff. but i wouldn't say anything against a waggle patch for 2010. as long as it doesn't force you to play like this.

Since the core control in PES Wii is pointer based (not motion/"waggle" which is only used for shooting and tackling) I'm not seeing a decent (as in wide pointing range with little hand movements) solution for PS3 (or Xbox360 for that matter) coming.

When you are fan of a genre you want to play the best. People who think PES and Fifa HD offer the best soccer experiences are deluding themselves. This wii game is better than anything released on the system and better than soccer itself.
