if it really is VS i think it will play pretty much in this way:

1. you investigate with layton and solve the riddles.
2. you investigate with phoenix [maybe they could take this off]
3. in court you play as phoenix against layton.

in a versus scenario i think i'd probably prefer phoenix on the good/right/justice side, but maybe that's because i'm a phoenix wright fanatic.

btw i'm so thankful that we are going to see maya again! i missed her so much!
