Project CARS delayed again to mid-May

That's actually a good news for me, because I have plenty of unfinished games in my PS4 library. And I don't mind the free DLC. :)

Well this sucks, was hoping to play it inbetween my studies now it comes out after my exams. Already paid for the game as well which was probably a mistake now.

May seems like a bad time to delay it too.
Why not June before the E3 hype?

This kind of game doesn't fit the E3 hype extravaganza. It's a racing sim so the market isn't very much aligned with the traditional E3 crowd.

Also F1 2015 is expected to launch around late May/early June, so mid-May would make Project CARS first to market and more likely to get customers interested in racing games.

This is 100% true

Why do yall want buggy games??

This counter-argument keeps coming up and it's a fair one, but as a developer if you continually keep moving the goalposts in terms of release date let it be no surprise if people who were initially enthused in the product lose interest.

Great video by VVV showcasing progress on the game. Watch it in 60fps

There was a fantastic moment when AI defended one attack from Alan. :)

I've been putting a lot of time into the latest build and echo everything Alan has said, it is really coming together now and there is a really nice feeling to racing.

I know the internet trend is to dump on everything but if you enjoy racing I really recommend you at least give PCars a try (regardless of the myriad of nitpicks that will inevitably all the talk after the release 'OMG some of the trees are 2D - order cancelled', OMG I saw some jaggies and my eyes started bleeding etc etc).

This generation is depressing. This is exactly why I don't preorder

Just give us a real rucking release date. All these delays are ridiculous to this point.

Was really looking forward to playing this shit earlier

This looks awesome, and that setup is just incredible. Any of you know his specs?

Agreed.

However disappointing the delay, having access to the PC builds and seeing the strides being made makes it obvious that:

1) They absolutely needed the additional time.
2) They are absolutely making fantastic use of the additional time now that they have it.

This is also one of the few games that genuinely makes me want to upgrade my creaking rig. 60fps is a must, and it looks beautiful even on middling settings, but damn do I ever want the bells and whistle.

Ah, good point.
Did not figure that into account. There is some mid-May releases so that is why I was curious the timing, but your logic makes sense.

Show me where anyone said they prefer buggy games?

How about they release WORKING games ON TIME.

The "take your time" argument is getting old. These are professionals. They should either: not announce a release date, or be damn sure that they are going to be ready on that date.
