Curious to see how it will do over there. I was thinking November was a lock for Scorpio release date. But now I'm really hoping for a September or August release date. August would be fucking awesome, but then I'm not sure what they'd launch with. September makes the most sense for a Forza 7 bundle, like others have said. I'll buy it as long as it's a digital code for Forza.

They could launch August and just have loads of Xbox One titles working 4k out of the box and then it gives time to iron out any weirdness and its all good for the games coming afterwards. Well before Destiny 2, CoD WW2 etc.

That's true, but I think they should launch with something that really showcases the power of Scorpio. Forza games have always looked amazing, so I can only imagine what they're gonna do with all that power. I do think you're right, in that it could benefit them to get it out before Destiny 2 though. I'm not that hyped for it personally, but I know that game's gonna be huge like the first one still is.
Shadow of War could be a sign all along that they're gonna release in August. Would be pretty funny.

I smell August release for Project Scorpio. Not just one but few reasons:
-Phil consistently saying they're ahead of schedule so that means they're very well more than ready.
-Many big AAA titles coming in August and forward, especially ones that Microsoft has marketing rights to (Middle-earth Shadow of War for example).
-Fall season is generally where they performance better in sales (right?).

I doubt Scorpio release is in August because August isn't Holiday 2017, like they said. But they could make anything work for them.

August launch worked pretty well for One S sales. I wouldn't be surprised.
Fuck.. I totally forgot about them saying Holiday this whole time... Does that only mean November/December or can September/October be in there? I can def see October being in there since that's still in Q4. Ugh, I want it earlier than October though! ;( lol

Yeah October through December is Holiday and Fall term. I totally believe October launch heck even late September would do. But August seems far fetched imo

I am thinking August as well. Early September they will release it to the media outlets and give them a good month to test existing Xbox One game running in Scorpio mode, BC games in Scorpio and perhaps early versions of 1st party games not out so they can leverage the media to help hype it. Or they just give it to DF a month early and other media 1 week before release.
