Project Treasure (Wii U) renamed to Lost Reavers. Beta coming soon

Wauw.. That's... that's something.

This one was F2P with microtransactions or something? Might check out the beta if it doesn't take out too much real estate on the HDD.

It's already on the eshop. Next week on 3/9 the beta will start.

It reminds me a lot of DT, not only the engine, but also the framerate hiccups. It's free though. Will try

Could be fun...
I'm not too much into multiplayer games, like someone else mentioned, I wish Nintendo would give a decent budget to this 3rd party titles...

Video looks rough, but I'll give it a try if it's free. I've actually wanted RPGs to make a sort of competitive dungeon crawling mode where people can use their version of the game's party against other versions in parallel dungeons. This is kind of like that, but with action gameplay. It's definitely giving off $20 or less PS2 game bin at Walmart vibes though.

Im really just trying to figure out what that KOS-MOS tease was about. Hopefully with them being so hush hush in the beginning that they didnt decide against it and took her out during development.

looks kinda alright. Co-op 3rd person shooter/brawler with some RPG elements? That's not a thing we get a lot of really.

First gameplay footage from the Beta

Who else, but Tilmen?

Single-Player

Multiplayer

Only watched the first video but ugh, he sure how to make games looks boring with his gameplay.

EDIT : second video, first ennemies pop up, framerate instantly dies.
This is terrible.

EDIT 2 : that boss was alright, a shame about that FPS though. This game NEEDS more work and it could very well be great.

Haha. Didn't finish either video myself either. Skipped forward to the "interesting" parts.

It's a Namco-Bandai joint.

I wonder, can you explain what Nintendo or Namco want to achieve with this game?
Why would this be approved for the Wii U?
Do they think there's an untapped market willing to spend on F2P games?
Is this basically a low cost trial for a larger, later production somewhere down the line?

I just don't quite understand why this game exists, even though I'd be open to playing should it actually be good.

I'm enjoying it so far. Had to turn the camera sensitivity way the fuck down, though. Starts at a 7, while I'd prefer it at like a 3 or 4.

Movement looks too slow.
Performance dips too much.
Move variety seems to be lacking.
Gameplay overall seems really basic.
Visually does nothing impressive.
Music is extremely generic.
Game lacks personality.

I see the potential with the game and maybe some of my gameplay complains change as you level up and gain other stuff with the progression system. The performance I get a feeling that it wont get fixed that much but the other things can change.

Also, the Gamepad screen is just a mirror of the TV and adds nothing to the game.

EDIT: Though, they do push certain sounds specifically to the Gamepad instead of the TV which I hate

EDIT: And this is maybe the worst texture pop-in I've ever seen. Makes no effort to hide itself and sometimes trips out trying to load the highest res texture on a character's clothes and ends up inexplicably swapping through different res textures for the backdrop instead. Also the beginning of a game, with it slowly loading the like sky/clouds backdrop thing and then chugging along loading the textures and geometry of the stage and characters is hilarious. Takes like 30 seconds.

it's the same problem Devil's third has, but it's a little faster here. Overall, it's much better than i expected.

All of a sudden, Nintendo systems became a great place to play online multplayer.

We've got:

Splatoon
MP:FF
Triforce Heroes
MK 7 and 8
SSB WU and 3DS
Devil's Third
ACNL
Pokemon games
And now Project Treasure among others.

Actually, it looks like the Gamepad is used for sort of a quick chat feature while online. You can tap preset chat text. Didn't even notice that.

I'm kind of excited to give this game a try. Was there a sign-up for the beta or can you just download it from the eShop? I don't remember there being a sign-up when the beta was announced.

I'd love to give Treasure the benefit of the doubt but this game seems unappealing in every way :c

edit: it's not by Treasure xD

Straight crapped out on me twice now. First time, I was trying to enter a room and got a black screen. Home menu button still worked (though the function was blocked). Waited a couple minutes just in case but ended up having to restart. Then just now, entered a room and none of my buttons worked. The touch screen still worked, oddly. Had to reset.

Those performance problems occurs during online multiplayer, or single player too?

Well, this thread is old, but i've got to mention that the full game was released today. Dont know how it will work, since there's no dlc section for the game. I guess the transactions will be in game only.

Anyway, will probably play tomorrow.
