PS+ November 2015 Line up announce (for Asia) - Includes Thief and Mass Effect 2

If we get thief I'll be happy. The game looks fun.

it's really not as bad as some have made it out to be. just a mediocre stealth game with some technical problems. if you like stealth games, i suppose it's worth running through. some of the missions are quite good. others are bizarre and out of place. reminds me of hitman absolution, where 1/3 of the game is great shit that reminds you of the old games, 1/3 is some strange new attempt to modernize everything, and another 1/3 is an attempt to imitate the big action set pieces you see in games like uncharted, with linear action scenes

having said all that, i don't think we are getting it for ps4. seems like the asian and western plus offerings haven't matched up much, unlike the EU/NA being identical lately

People wanted a retail game over great indie games, be careful what you wish for.

ehhhhh. there are plenty of people who would much prefer thief over some of the smaller offerings over the past 2 years. having played thief, i'd much rather have that than mousecraft or unmechanical.

Thief and Super Meat Boy already came to Plus; so this isn't likely the PS+ games for NA/EU.

My bet is that we will get Mass Effect 2 and one of the Vita games, but everything else will be different.

That's not what is happening. The people who you say 'prefer' indies aren't that, they're mostly just people who appreciate good games regardless of what budget they had. Asking specifically for a AAA game is weird because why would you want a game based on the fact it wasn't published independently?

And PS+ has had tons of retail games. Ground Zeroes, Stick it To The Man, Ether One, First Light, Injustice. There may be one or two that I'm missing. Point is, no one is begrudging AAA games, I'm sure most people are happy with what they get as long as it's a good game. It's the 'WE WANT RETAIL AAA GAMES' crowd that are begrudging indie games. Like, you're willing to accept Thief, a game that has received mostly negative feedback from pretty much everyone, just because it's AAA, yet seemingly begrudge the indie games we have received, even though a lot of them have been critically acclaimed. You don't see how little sense that makes?

While you are right there is also a vocal group in every PS+ thread who talk shit about AAA games in general.
This whole PS+ Indie vs. AAA-discussion is nothing but a mess at this point.

And you know perfectly well when people want AAA games they don't talk about Ether One or Stick It To The Man just because those happened to be printed on disc at some point.

Wouldn't mind trying thief . Despite it being fairly mediocre , a lot of the indie games also end up being mediocre .

Would prefer it more then kill zone which is absolutely garbage after the first few levels

But by how much honestly

It just proves my point that people don't even know what they're asking for. They have these arbitrary requirements in their mind for what a 'Proper' game is, wether it be retail or AAA or whatever. If someone says they want a retail game, then we should point out what retail games they've been given. It's not my fault if those games don't meet whatever other special requirements they have built up as a way to complain about indie games. The poster I quoted was asking specifically for retail games, so I pointed out the retail games he's already received.

It's not arbitrary. It's just that there are a lack of definitions to describe it properly. There is clearly a difference between a typical retail game (such as Thief or Killzone) and a typical indie game (such as Hotline Miami or that one that looks like a Greek vase). Some people prefer the former and dislike the later. So really there is no need for people to get on a high horse about it. It is what it is.

I'm not getting on a high horse about anything. A retail game is a game that is sold in retail outlets. It's got nothing to do with wether it's indie or AAA. If people are going to ask for retail games because boo indies, they should at least understand what they're actually asking for.

when people mean retail games, they actually mean AA-AAA games.

If it wasn't obvious enough.

it doesn't matter if is indie or AAA...

I rather have TowerFall than any Assassins Creed, but I understand people asking for AC, they need to fell they are saving money from buying an expensive AAA with CCC quality.

I don't think Thief for EU is out of the question. Asia ps+ is usually a mix between the games given to Japan and the west and they have been over instanses for the same game going out for different platforms. On top of that, this is november/december where a lot of subscriptions are running out, so we'll probably see some AAA games to get people to sign up again, they did it last year.

That being said, I really hope it isn't Thief, as it just seems like the most mediocre game. Crossing my fingers for Black Flag.

You guys are confusing me by saying thief was already ps+, but I see it was ps3 version. I am looking forward to trying thief..it cant be that bad for free can it?

Thief is one of the few games I returned to the retailer and asked for my money back - the others been FUEL and DRIV3R

>disses mediocre game
>requests an even more mediocre game

Well I didn't mean you specifically but just in general. I'm saying that when people say "retail" I'm pretty sure they mean what typically constitutes a retail game so highlighting a retail game which is out of the ordinary isn't really that useful.

Thief is, legitimately, the worst game I have played on PS4. It is absolutely woeful.

Black Flag doesn't make go through a loading screen every 3 minutes in it's hub world.
