PS Plus: Free Games for January 2017

Glad I didn't buy day of the tentacle but my God, throw us bigger budget game fans a bone please. Would've been cool to have gravity rush this month.

Good month, I don't own any of them.

Glad I held back on DOTT, I had a feeling it would come to PS+, but not this soon.

These monthly PS+ threads though man, they are fucking depressing.

Some people always remind me of this girl from Problem Child:

Another great month. Played DOTT as a kid last century and will love to play it again. Was also always interested in titan souls and this war of mine, nice to have both in january.

And one last thing:

fuck off all indie haters, all psn plus games thread end up like this...

Wow for once I dont have all the games. In for

Day of the Tentacle
The War of Mine
Titan Souls

These are all games I almost bought in tbe past. Thanks based Sony!

Apparently.

People would rather have Order or Knack rather then a quality indie title.

It boggles my mind but w/e, I'm enjoying these games.

At this stage are people just desperate for shit "AAA" games for free?

You can buy the Order for like £5 here but I don't see people rushing out to get it.

I got it for $8 in a summer sale and really enjoyed it. More than I did Ratchet and Clank, which I played just before it. The shooting was more precise and the game was more fun for me.

As someone who got a PS4 for Christmas, I think I'll hold off on Plus for now. I have DotT on PC and the other games don't appeal to me.

I'm amazed at people writing off games just because they aren't AAA titles. The Swindle is a legit great game, a toy box of situations with every new run. Anyone who likes stealth or the risk/reward element where greed is the making of your downfall should check it out. It's really easy to get into and then builds mechanics in slowly as you unlock your abilities. You start off barely able to get in through a back window and seeing everything as a threat, and then later on you are ordering enemy robots to attack each other, remote-detonating mines to take out defenses, and seeing everything as an opportunity to turn things to your advantage. Great stuff.

Those thumbs down again lol

Sony fans have had enough of the piss poor offerings.

Wait a minute, how are Day of the Tentacle and Titan Souls "piss poor"? Those are both pretty damn good games. I don't know much about the others, but I can firmly stand behind those two.

I don't think you are a fan of games, you are a fan of being sold hype.

Why are their opinions worth less than yours?

There is nothing of substance to be found in negative drive by posts. It greatly confuses me as to why someone would dismiss somthing just because they have never heard of it before or even worse, simply because the game didn't have a huge budget behind it.

Titan Souls is cool for about an hour and then it just becomes obnoxious.

I'm honestly really tired of these Double Fine games. Give us something good, Sony! Make some more PSN games cross-buy!

Thanks for understanding!

What if they looked at the games an decided they weren't for them.

I have a great compromise in mind... Release a AAA game every month, but only allow it to be played after you have "unlocked" it by beating one of the indie games made available. Maybe some of these people would learn that there are some truly great, innovative, inventive games being made by indie developers.

Beat Hyper Light Drifter to play The Order 1886: realize your whole life is a lie and your priorities have been deeply stupid.

Nothing good this month...

They won't. The ps+ lineup is probably a joke they all laugh at in some corporate room. I can't lie, I'd laugh, too.

Both of you have no idea what you are talking about and generally suck.
