PS Plus: Free Games for September 2015

Really? I heard that it only removed black bars. Well, i already waited for this long so i think i can wait longer :p

I don't know for sure, that's why I was asking. ;) I've finished the game and all DLC's before the patch came out. Early chapters are pretty bad in terms of fps, but it's not a gamebreaking thing.

Super Meat Boy is confirmed? Good month already, don't really care about anything else at this point. Certainly not an Assassin's Creed game.

Has it ever been this late before when we get the list of games? I thought when the first Tuesday ran this late, they usually posted the blog more than a week in advance?

I'm expecting Super Meat Boy to be the 'big' title for this month. That's not inherrently a bad thing of course, but the thought of that concerns me about what the smaller games are going to be. It could absolutely go either way.

I have a feeling folks.

My gut is telling me that Oct and/or Nov are going to be big months for PS+. Shu and the rest of PlayStation are acutely aware that their first party fare for this holiday season is less-than-ideal and mayhaps they decide to pull out the stops to make up for it and incentivize future owners.

i hope it is super meat boy. i'd just got that in a sale on 360 before my 4th console bit the dust and i'd had enough. i've been waiting year for it to be ported and i can't wait.

It's not late. They announce the games on the latest wednesday of the month, and release them on the first tuesday.

Someone made a thread the other day about AC IV showing up as free to them.

It has nothing to do with it being part of PS+ in October.

AC:BF is currently in that "Games under €20" sale which lasts until October 8th here in Europe, so I very much doubt that game will be part of next month PS+, unless they revert to giving different IGCs between US and EU.

This. There is no chance of it being a ps+ title given the current/super recent sales in various regions.

Just annonce it already! Every time I see this thread at the top of the page I read it as October..

They announce on a schedule.. iirc it's on thursdays, so it'll be tomorrow. haven't had my coffee yet though so someone might need to correct the day.

It better not be Black Flag, that was just on sale.

it won't be.

Ac IV is great but I already played it a long time ago so I hope it was just a mistake
And super meat boy is also great but come on, it's like 5 years old, has been on sale for next to nothing like a billion times and it even runs on basically any PC

I hope there is something interesting on vita with crossbuy on ps4 because it would be a terrible month for me

Doesn't really matter, they are AAA anyways.
When did having a retail release become a synonym with AAA.

One was like a $15 standalone expantion to Infamous and the other one was a 2 hours long glorified demo sold for $30.
I wouldn't consider them AAA

Good lord, I read that thinking next month was September and was insanely disappointed. I need to wake up more before I come here xD

There is literally no way it's Ass Creed IV. It's just been on sale, literally last week, and Syndicate is out in two weeks. It's just not happening.

Did you ever play IV? It's a legitimately good game.

Gonna quote myself from a recent thread.

Moving on, I see black flag being brought up again. Well I've got news for you: The mission design is shit, the map is a mess with pointless "collectibles" strewn everywhere and the game even informs you how many there are when you arrive at a new location, rubbing it in your face, that this sorry shit of a mass produced game has nothing better to offer your "badass assassin" other than pointless collectibles everywhere, cause that's what assassins would have been really interested in. Collectibles.

Then there's the forgettable story, the towers to climb everywhere, the lack of stealth and memorable assassinations in a game about stealth and assassinations and the laughable AI. But that's not the worst thing. The worst thing is all the people wrongfully complaining about "identical" 2d indie games, craving this steaming pile of reheated ubisoft formula.

But it has nice graphics and music...

And I didn't even mention the stupid ship tailing missions. Of course, you're free to disagree with me, but it is not even close to being a good game in my opinion.

Hope smb is the vita game. Pretty sure I own 50 copies of it already. Super Meat Boy...in 2015.

Yeah. Everyone and their dog played that one on their 360, right? Oh wait! I never owned one.

Did you miss that time where they didn't announce the games until they went up? The gaf thread was legendary. Someone was throwing a hissy fit because (paraphrasing here) "they didn't just subscribe to plus for the games, but also the excitement of the game announcements. Therefore, by not announcing the games in a timely manner, they weren't delivering the service he/she was promised when they paid for it".

Oh Broken Age FFS. I'm officially never buying another digital game again ever. Cost me £20 at launch

It's always worth holding out to get it for free.

Pretty good month otherwise though. I did enjoy BA despite the salt. Super Meat Boy looks very good yet incredibly difficult. Is it also on Vita?

Edit: Yes... I can't read apparently.
