PS Store now has a Wishlist feature

They'd make so much money from Gift transactions alone.

But I imagine one issue they'd run into with Gifting is incompatibility between different region stores.

Maybe paving the way for a "Gift Friend" feature?...

Probably, because:

Gifting feature is not for that. You won't be able to buy games, play them and if you don't want them anymore, gift them.

yeah.. wishfull thinking :p

i dont think we need to look into this really too deep .Its probably just that.. a wishlist so your friends can see and share their whishlist

Honestly? Wishlists has become a very common reason cited for indie game sales during Steam's sales, so I wouldn't be surprised if developers has been asking Sony for this. With that said, considering that you can also look at friend's wishlists, this does also look like phase one of a "gift to friends" feature.

I wish they have more upcoming games.

I'd love to put the Bloodborne DLC and The Witness on my wishlist but they aren't in the store, even as placeholders, yet.

i would wonder what the point of this is (aside from market research.) maybe they will implement a way to gift games to friends over PSN? that would be exciting!
Well Steam sends you an email if a game on your wishlist is on sale. Hopefully the PS Store will do the same as it's a great feature.

edit: beaten like the WiiU beat the PS4 eons ago

I personally like having a wishlist feature, I find it's a great way to keep track of games I eventually want to pick up and it's a good way for me to check if games are on sale. I use the wishlist feature on steam a lot for those very reasons it's nice to not have to search for everything and bring them up in a nice easy list. That is providing Sony does it this way.

I'm not seeing this in the US webstore yet, sadly.

These feature only makes sense if the gift to a friend feature also exists

While I would like both, a wishlist is far more important to me than gifting.

Don't think of wishlist as 'things i want people to buy me or I can buy other people', but 'things i hope go on sale someday'.

Holy shit, nice! One more to add to the list.
Can this be done via the PS4 as well?

Not yet. They'll probably update the PS4 store interface last, I speculate.

I hope Sony don't put too much emphasis on this kind of features in their presser. This is welcome, but is nothing more than catching up to everyone else, to be honest.

That's cool.

In use it on Steam to keep track of games that are too pricey for me. I hope it'll come with both a gifting option and a price tracking option to alert you when prices go down on particular games.

Would be nice if it'll also be tied in some ways to a form of Early Access (to keep track of games in Alpha/ Beta and when they have an official public release).

Most likely, you will receive emails whenever games in your wishlist drop price, without any option to turn that off.

Cool. I like wish lists, I already use them on Nintendo's eshop and the kindle store to keep an eye on stuff I'm interested in but happy to wait for a sale on or until I've finished with the items I have.

They are a great feature, useful for customers and the sellers alike.

I dunno, man. For me it's important because there's more games that I want than I can buy at the moment, so when I see them on the Store, if I don't add them to a wishlist, I might forget about them (especially smaller titles) later on when I am overwhelmed with new releases.

I wasn't referring to the usefulness of the wishlist feature itself. I totally agree with you on that and was waiting for it myself.

I was referring to SCE doing grand announcements about these PSN related things at the PGW press conference. In my opinion, they shouldn't overdo it, because they're basically catching up to all other networks out there.

I can't wait for them to link this up with the incredible recommendation engine they have going.

"because you wished for Titan Souls, you might be interested in NBA2K16"
