I've been rolling with my Vita for about 3 months; I imported one from Japan. Recently, I picked up a US version due to the O/X confirm/cancel issue.
When the thing works, I'm loving it. The games and the apps are stellar and simply next-level compared to any of handhelds I've ever had. Scooped up about 8 launch games and I don't regret a single purchase.
My beef comes in the fact that I'm having issues with my system freezing or refusing to turn on after being in sleep mode, every other day. Yes, there is the solution of holding the power button for 20 seconds to restart, I'm getting pissed off about how fragile the OS seems to be. I've had the thing freeze on Unit 13, Wipeout 2048, FIFA, Echochrome, and Escape Plan. And I get the glowing blue light of perpetual pause where the thing won't come on frequently too.
Granted this has been happening on two different Vitas, I'm assuming the software is to blame. But for all the awesome things the Vita is offering, can you remember a handheld that was this buggy and fragile on a system level? I sure can't...
