PS Vita's killer app coming this fall: FISH + ANIME

What is this, Rock Paper Shotgun? All we need now is several posts with a fish related word with the suffix -FACE appended on it in all caps.

FISHFACE!

Kano with a fishing pole?

Why would you say that? I love how the Blog provides exposure for niche games. What exactly is wrong with that?
Guess it comes down to opinion. We need games that appeal to the masses for the Vita to gain momentum in the market, not this shit. All we get to do with our Vitas is fish for treasure and relive the previous systems glory days at a sometimes overpriced fee. I need October to hurry up because I cant find anymore treasure and my Sunflowers aren't producing seeds. Sorry for ranting atleast u like it. Be happy.

Must.. resist... puns...

Anime gaming fluff! Must be on the Playstation brand!

Throw an anime art style on something and that niche market can't keep their hands out of the cookie jar. It could be someone who loathes fishing... the idea of fishing... actual FISH in and of themselves and it wouldn't matter. Anime = buy.

My roommate is like that, and it makes me furious. Sad, I know, but it does.

I'd say it's more like "Sony have made and are continuing to make some really strange decisions regarding their handheld division lately". Including publishing this themselves in the US, when presumably even Sega wouldn't.

Sony's not publishing this though.

Wait a minute: they're releasing a fishing game, with heavy anime influences (evidenced by the fact that the PR mentioned the character designer and that he worked on TWGOK), on the PS Vita, retail. In this climate? BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

It seems they're only confirming the game for PSN right now.

LOL, if this comes here i don't see why other more known and successful games do not.

Seriously. If this can come over where's EDF 2017 Portable D3 publisher?

If this game is worthy of a PlaystationBlog post then the Vita is in deep waters.

This is a silly thing to say. The PlayStation Blog is a marketing tool. If these guys never posted on there we probably wouldn't have heard of this game until it randomly shows up on the Store.

Liking things just for the anime flair doesn't make much sense... but skipping a game because of the style is just as weird. The game won't magically become a better title by changing the band-aid girl to a photorealistic Western man.

So is this going to be like the ping pong mini game in Yakuza 4 but when you catch a fish the girls shirts start to fall off? Or fish jump out of the water and knock off their clothes? I can't imagine anything else from this title.

True, I guess I have great expectations and I need to lower them. I wait for Vita news like a fly waits for shit, so this announcement rubbed me the wrong way. Bah Humbug! Cheers to those who will buy it.

Somehow, I don't think people will be getting this game for the fishing. Will there be anyone man enough to buy this on the store with that cover?

People do that for zombies too.

Now if they made an anime zombie fishing game, then they're guaranteed to make millions. They'd have all of the otakus, dudebros, and casuals eating from the palm of their hands. The sales would pretty much be unstoppable.
