No sticker problems with my 2K so far (I imported, so I've had it for a few months).
On my old 3DS the sticker started to peel off and I put some scotch take over it to hold it on. v( o_o)v

Both fell off of mine (original unit). I saved them both though. However, at this point, I think my Vita is past its warranty date (I got it in July 2012).

I don't know if the 2000 version is the same, but who in their right mind decided to put the serial number/bar code right at the bottom side of the Vita?

I've owned two and the same thing happened, without me realizing after the fact. On my first model, the serial number sticker came off. It's important when taking it in for repairs (I think they will deny the system) and Gamestop can't take it in without it.

On my current model, the serial number completely vanished. So it's made out of a cheap sticker/ink. If you are using the Vita to browse, it's most likely where your thumbs rest, causing them to fall of in time. Such an oversight.

Searched on other forums, and got some results of people losing their serial numbers too.

Did they fix this for the second model? Has this happened to you before?

I purchased the extended physical damage warranty on mine through PSN and I had the same issue. I called as soon as it happened and they said it was fine since it is tied to your account to the Vita it was purchased on.

I had an issue with my left thumb stick grip coming off and did the usual repair with no issues a couple months after.

This is an original launch unit.

Wrote down my SN info then manually removed the stickers and taped them on an index card and stored them along with the serial info for the rest of my big ticket items.

Yup, mine kept coming off to the point where I went "ah, fuck it" and now it's gone forever.

Meanwhile, my original 3DS sticker migrated up here and has been stationary ever since. I can live with that.

I have all of my serial numbers for my handhelds noted elsewhere so hopefully that'll do if I ever need my Vita repaired.

That's something they fixed with the XL as there's another identical serial number sticker behind the battery cover.

Is there a way to look up the serial in the settings menu? I had to do that with a TV repair since the back sticker was removed.

my sticker came off, but i was able to "stick" it on the vita manual which is in the vita box (im a box/packaging hoarder) hopefully if i wanna trade it in ever... theyll let me since i can just stick it back on basically)

I don't have a Vita but isn't there a way to check the serial number in the settings similar to a smart phone? That definitely should become a standard thing imo.

Mine stayed on just fine. I find the placement to be better than the sticker placenent on GameBoys and DSs (right on the back).

I found this out the hard way....I had to take a 3DS apart the other day for the serial number. Like you...on my orig Vita and replacement they stayed on fine.

Which is odd because you would think it would fare better on the back vs on the bottom....especially if they are right where your thumbs might be.

For those who have had this issue with the sticker peeling off, how are you holding the Vita? My hands never get near the sticker on either model so I have no idea how it rubbing off is even possible.

My serial no. sticker is still there, but the model number one has fallen off. The actual number was on a thin film on top of the main sticker, so I'm not surprised it fell off.
