Why not? They're 3 distinctly different racers. Personally I'm only interested in one of the three (Motorstorm) because the other two just aren't the style of racing I'm interested in.

If I were going to get a PS3 at launch, I would definately get Resistance, now that looks like a killer app. The online multi for that game sounds very promising.

Those are the titles I'm interested in. GTHD's questionable, depends on how the macrotransactions work out. Otherwise though yeah. Oh and if the 360 version of vegas looks better (I have no idea where the two versions stand, only watched the E3 video) I'll get it there prolly, but otherwise on PS3.

I don't think Fatal Inertia will make launch, but they say they'll ship it before 07. I'll also be surprised if Bladestorm makes launch, considering it was also a no-show last week.
 
There is currently only one 2006 PS3 title I'm interested in (RR7), so I'm gonna pass this launch, I think. There's too much stuff coming out in Nov/Dec already, so adding an extra 57,000 yen just to play RR7 is not a smart move for me. I'll play it at D.C. Harlie's house, or steal his PS3 when he and his wife are at the Firm's Christmas Party... mwahahaaaaaaaa.

I wanna play this F1 game at muther****en LAUNCH here in the US! I am BOILING at the thought of having to wait until it's released in Europe! That blows! C'mon Sony please please PLEASE man up and release the F1 game here in the US at launch or at least this year!!!!
 
If I can get 3 title...somehow, I'll grab motorstorm, Genji, and Maybe resistence, I need to see more of it. Tonk hawk looks ok too but I'm a little sick of those games

If I can get only one Title (likely). MOTORSTORM. I still have such a chubby for this game after the TGS trailers and footage.

Looks like lots of votes for Motorstorm. Hope to be trashing some of you very soon : )

wait...Tony Hawk is also a launch title? Well hell.....chalk up another day one purchase for me(sorry TH haters)!
 
I've been anticipating it for so long but the games really don't wow me. Graphically, yes, they're great, but I can't see myself buying any of those, except maybe Resistance. I will definitely rent most of those though, they are all the kinds of games I get tired of too fast. The first games I buy will probably be Resistance, GTHD, and Heavenly Sword, whenever it comes out.
 
I am so glad for you NA guys and girls that you will be able to own a PS3 in 7 weeks. In Europe we have to wait till March 2007. Goddamnit, isn't that insane...
 
I'm in EU so would have to wait until March anyway, and even then not sure about picking one up at launch at the price, but when I do get one - which I will, I'll definitely be back to pick up Motorstorm - looks great, Heavenly Sword and maybe Resistance. I've got Oblivion on 360 but the new brotherhood thing sounds up my street - I'm a raging goody two shoes in games - but can't see me getting the same game twice. Hopefully they marketplace it.
 
Having to wait until March will definetly be troublesome, also because there will be so much interesting titles (Ridge Racer 7,Motorostorm,Heavenly Sword,Lair,Resistance,Assassin's Creed,Oblivion) that it will be impossible to buy everything on day one :(

Well one good thing is that the EU lineup should be hella lot more interesting. All the XMas releases and hopefully heavenly sword!!

The launch titles don't really interest me too much, so far all I'd get is Genji 2 and Resistance. I'll probably just wait until something special comes out in 2007 and then backtrack to Genji 2 and rent Resistance.
 
Great launch line up, but I already have the best stuff launching with PS3 on my X360.

I want a PS3 for the stuff coming next spring. I guess my concern is would I be better off grabbing a launch machine or can we reasonably expect that the supply issue will be ironed out by next March.

Well, if Rainbow Six is good I may pick that up but that one will also be out on the 360.

Resistance and some Blu Ray dvds should do it for me this christmas. :D

Ubisoft was planning to have their WW2 fighter game ready for launch too, the one they were porting over from 360. Not that that's any major addition to the list.

Genji 2 is definately starting to appeal to me more, I was checking out some vids over at gametrailers, the graphics definately look much better than before. Genji 1 was pretty good, and twice the content in the sequel should be pretty damn good also. I think it's safe to say I'm looking forward to it more, but I'm not 100% sure I'll have it on launch day.

Waiting for the official launch list before I declare any purchases yet.
 
Actually, it isn't 7 1/2 weeks until PS3 launches. It's only 49 more days -- exactly 7 weeks. :)

Anyway, if things go according to plan I will be grabbing on launch day:

Core PS3
HDMI cable

And within days of getting my PS3, I will be purchasing the new 32-inch Sony XBR2.

Man, November 17 is gonna be like the biggest holiday for me in years.

Has there been any word on where you can rent PS3 and Wii games at? Blockbuster, etc.?
 
The only thing that sucks is that I'd take Zelda TP over any of those games. And I don't have the funds to get both systems at the moment. I'm curious how many other customers are in the same boat, and will take a wait-and-see attitude on the PS3, until some of the more heavy hitters come out.

My most wanted game this year is Zelda by far but I can only afford one new console. My answer of course is to get the GCN version in Dec.

Edit::lol Good to know that Big Boss is going to go back in time and take it to the Chimera.
