I wish he had talked more about the online stuff Ive been thinking some of the playable titles at TGS might be the downloadable ones from their service.

Um, he never said he knew anything of an upgrade...he was just inferring that from that supposed weird smile. He could be mistaken...it was just his guess. He never presented it as a fact.

Yeah, and there's nothing specifically about disc size in PSM. It's the first 'green light.'

But seriously, the thing about the bundle is so specific that you'd have a 15 million in one chance of getting it right or something. I think he works in retail, maybe heard some legit things, and then mixed it up with speculation, obvious things and/or crap

We can "Berieve", but we should also be "scare". The PSM article went into great detail about Resistance, but I don't think it ever mentioned the three things he's accurately pointed out.
 
I think this is all an intentional leak on Sony's part.

A shady, angry rant later proven true? That's pretty much the only thing that could change GAF's mind about PS3. That's GAF's language!

(GAF meaning all hardcore net nerds)
 
so if resistance is 22gb, how many gb is crysis going to be? 60?



EDIT: yes i realize crysis isn't headed to a console, that's not my point.

Well, after my initial knee-jerk reaction, which was countered nicely by those in this thread, I'm starting to come around. Consider me cautiously optimistic.

Still have some issues with his post, though.

1. Did he see or know anything about the Jungle game?

2. Is 8 Days really going to look like the E3 video?

3. Does he know anything about the Playstation Online?

4. Is Sony talking about a PSP revision?

5. Will they bump they unlock the PSP cap?

6. Will the PSP price drop this year?

7. What did he see in Killzone? Videos or screenshots?

8. Will the HD-Eyetoy be for sell this year?

9. Will GTHD be sold to the public?

10. Does the Getaway still look as good as it did at GDC?


Now let's sit back and get some answers.
 
Hehe, he's batting a higher percentage than even Axsider. Hell, I wouldn't be suprised if that is Axsider. He was chased off this forum last year, and ended up being the only reliable source prior to E3. This guy (whoever he is) is coming up with some good stuff so far. He has to have some source of info inside. That's the only way to get the pack-in for the PSP right. You can't just say it's that one thing either, b/c the Resistance thing is also on point. And one is software while the other is hardware/marketing. That and you can't say a lot of people expected any game to be over 20GB. That one got me to pay attention. Today's little find has me very interested. I'm not gonna cream my pants just yet, but if he hits one more then I might have to start believing in Killzone again. :D PEACE.

Have they? I'll try to find the link, but I had just read an article last week discussing the first BD50 content we're apt to see will be later on due to the manufacturing problems.

Would love to be wrong about that though, because I'd have an orgasm for a loaded T2 disc this fall with every feature/commentary from it's DVD counterparts.
 
BTW, is the rest of that thread worth reading? Does he answer a lot of questions? Or is the first post enough? I never bothered reading the rest of the thread since it was already at like 9 pages when I first got to it. PEACE.

They've been producing them, the yields just aren't great (for ROM's).


That wouldn't stop a dev from targetting BD50 for a game that's coming out next year though, as the yields are expected to be fine by then .... at least according to Sony.

the only thing to take out of this post is the 'facts', not bullshit like that.

So if he says "oblivion looks like a whole new game" and this dude is legit, you can basically gain that it looks a little better at the very worst.

Yeah, you pretty much have to take such comments down a peg through the fanatic filter. For heavily passionate people if we will, having it a bit better is enough to explosion.
 
Wow... the emotions in this thread...

I'm suprised he got that PSP pack right... but it's erie that he got the capacity right on Resistance (he said around 20GB, which could end up more)... and perhaps that "side-by-side" demo...

I, for one, would be incredibly happy if the rest are hits and not misses either... I would love to see Heavenly Sword turn out the way he states... Lair, well, what can you say? I'm sure that's gonna turn out hot... But touching on Killzone, that's a lil erie... if Sony can hit that target for that game, considering the buzz and flaming they took for it, it would shut up the console gaming world for this gen most likely...

He also mentions the bad news of launch titles dropping too... which sucks... But eh, at least he'll front up the bad news too, which is a good sign overall to his article...

He just has a swagger to his posting that is like/hate... Like how he stated MS production coming to a halt, just meant that they couldn't get out any units during that time... which, is kinda true... just he added a flare to it... dunno...

I don't care what his attitude in posting is like, as long as his info is solid/credible/truthful...

How old is Kutaragi? This guy was born in 1955, making him 51 years old! He is either one really, really hardcore gamer, or more likely, he is someone on the inside (freelance journalist or sony/sony subsidiary employee).
