[Ps3 picture thread] In all its glory... Gundam...

I think it looks fine in the screens. But anyone that has seen this thing in motion knows that it runs like crap. I wish Bandai could make a fun Gundam game.

Why is the Very Hard option BEFORE the Easy option? :lol

It's like the scales goes: V. Hard -> Easy -> Normal -> Hard

Jesus christ Namco Bandai get your ****ing act together!

It's probably one of those scrolly menus, if you went down, Easy would be at the top.

It is just me or are those screenies missing something...or more like missing a lot of everything...

When will they learn that the only way to properly make a gundam mecha game is using something similar to ZOE in gameplay...

This game hurts my eyes. Graphics like these are inexcusable for the PS3.

If I was Sony I would have never green lighted this shit for sale.

It's Gundam; they must have thought people were willing to buy it by franchise alone. Sony probably needed the presence considering there's only RR7 for the launch.

This is living?

Pretty much the ugliest screenshot of the month. Poor Namco. :( Like, how many of the PS3's SPUs are being used to render a flat surface with 6 empty husks on it?

Don't forget that scene runs at about 15fps max!

/to its credit, it does have really good environmental destruction. ^^;

Why? Just...why? I don't know if I should direct that question at Namco-Bandai for making this visual abortion, or at DC for making a picture thread about this visual abortion. Ugh.

You know, the money spent on that game could have fed a starving child for a year. Shame on you.

That said, I actually think the game got worse since that early, crappy demo from many months back. The very first demo at least looked promising. But somehow it got worse. I can't wrap my head around wtf Namco is doing, but it wholely unimpressive. PEACE.

i'm actually going to try and finish this - i may well be off work ill - so it may help me feel better.

It's bad PR is what it is.

Okay, i feel i earned the right to a little fun with the X billion photos i took of the VERY sexy Resistance to poke some fun at the worst game at PS3 launch...

In what world is resistance sexy?

It's got some good things going, but crap textures, bad color pallet, ugly art, and non-existant animation (courtesy of CELL's supercomputer power no doubt) kinda pull it down.

Wrong game, thread & wrong attitude on the day that the wrong admin (for you) is on the forum.

I rented Gundam on launch day, Blockbuster one week rental and didn't even put it in my PS3 after reading GAF when I got back home. Thank god because who knows how it could have infected my PS3 with its crappyness.

I hope they release a demo for this. I love having REALLLLLY bad games on hand from time to time. I actually have Gods and Generals and Big Rigs handy (a friend managed to find both of them).

Of course, Gundam doesn't appear to be quite THAT bad so it might not even be all that good for a laugh. :\

this game uses PhysX by Ageia and , as i said in the Gafcast, the physics are so great that when you shoot a Goug in the chest, it instantly faces the wrong way and it's leg falls off.

Consider me impressed!

I do not blame Ageia for this - other games have managed to use the system , i'm guessing that Bandai somehow managed to find a way to circumvent anything good happening in the engine.

I must download a few movies of this game :lol

Holy crap. I am seriously tempted to import it if I find it for cheap :lol

UC stands for universal century. for what it's worth. very little, without a huge and verbose explanation, i expect. and nobody wants that.

sigh. bad games like these just help create more contempt for the gundam universe in the minds of westerners. meanwhile gundam fans like me don't even see a reason to touch them. only the desperate japanese...

there have to be at least 50 gundam games for the PS2. i love gundam. i own one.

Ironically, N3 is using the same "AEGIA PhysX" Engine, and it didn't help improving the gameplay experience.

(bear in mind the camera and the projector do this game a lot of favours)
AinÂ’t this the truth.
I have to say, if I ever make a video game, I want all my promotional screenshots to be taken by DCharlie.
ItÂ’s like console beer goggles.

yeah, i know what UC stands for usually...

i just think in this case it stands for "Utter.Crap." :(

Seriously, EVERYONE wants a good Gundam game, none-more-so than the Japanese. This just isn't it - there isn't a good reason why the visuals that were first represented aren't possible ( -by a good team- ) so i'm hoping/praying that Bad-nai-Man-ko get their fingers out of their asses and put the 1 year war team on it.

Infact... i might load up my save of that and take some shots...
Game looks fricken crazy at times - especially the "trippy" fight in space with *coughtthatgirlwholikesthatguycough*

You guys should see the Gundam video Blim showed a little while ago for the X360, the Mechs have the same Ragdoll animations as the Transformer videogame for the Ps2.:lol
