PS3 slim power cord too short. Good replacement?

Zerokku

WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?
Seems kinda pointless for a thread but google is failing me here so I'm coming to GAF for help.

So I finally got myself a ps3 today. Got it set up and I have to say... Holy shit is that power cord short. My entertainment center is decently sized and the PS3 sits near the middle (And before anyone says it no I can't put it anywhere else. Between the TV/cable box/other consoles/etc I don't have room). If I fished the power cable through the back and around to the power strip it would be a foot or so short. Right now I have it hooked up from around the front of the entertainment center, while pulling the power strip forward in front of the entertainment center just to plug it in. Which is less than desirable. Not to mention it looks tacky as hell.

With how short this thing is I'm assuming I can't be the only person whos needed to replace it, so does anyone have any suggestions? It seems like gamestop only has first party power cables for the slim, no third party ones that would be longer.

Yeah the power cord and the controller cord are way too short. Basically impossible to charge your controller while still playing a game.

well if you have a computer/laptop nearby you can charge the controller that way ;o

Haha, its about the same distance from my bed. I usually just plug the controller into my computer when Im not using the PS3 since it doubles as a PC controller and it gets charged.

They sell these kinda standard cables virtually everywhere. I think you can find a replacement if you just visit some random shop that sells electronics

Kind wanting a secondary power cable anyways, since I occasionally move the consoles to different TVs but I just use extra power cords and av cables so I dont have to constantly fish things in/out of the entertainment center, and the regular one is fine for the other TV. But not the primary TV.
