PS4 design is sleek and sexy

i thought it was okay when they first showed it but it's really grown on me since then. now i think it looks amazing.
 
Yeah, it's a really cool design. I like it.

Fitting that the most PC-like PlayStation takes the split design cue from a classic Japanese PC that also received a lot of good games! The Sharp X68000:

It's just a boring black box that looks like it belongs stuffed in a entertainment center, like every other component of a home setup. At least the Xbox one actually wants to be a dvr cable box.

I miss distinctive consoles, even the gaming only WiiU is a boring black box.
 
I love it. And thanks to its height when its laying down, I can actually buy this sexy IKEA table I've always wanted. My fat PS3 can't possibly fit into one of its thin slots/racks but PS4 will fit in nicely.
 
The aesthetics of Sony's console designs have gradually gotten worse since the PS3 grill.
 
The slant really hurts it, don't like that at all. It's just jarring to look at. Without it, it would be a much better callback to the classic PS2 feel
 
I thought of the PS2 right away when they unveiled the design, it's a wonderful foreshadowing as they can regain their reign with this generation of consoles.
 
i think i'll come around to it more when i see it up close...still not entirely sure where the disc slot is, heh

okay, now i kinda dig it a bit more, yeah
 
I like the light but design-wise it's nothing spectacular. Feels like it being skewered was just done to make it stand out and it looks really jarring to me, it's going to look weird on my shelf. Have to say I actually liked a couple of mock-ups better.
 
It's okay. I would have maybe preferred the glossy bit to be striped down the very center, rather than off to a corner.

It didn't exactly blow me away but as you get to dissect the design, see it properly, get all the angles and play with the 3D on SketchFab it really reveals a lot of fantastic touches and nuances. It has the right overall colour scheme, no eye-popping grey disc tray and the little lines and what appears to be LED running down looks classy. Especially when vertical and you see how the slant makes it look like two skyline buildings, it really takes you back. Great proportions.

The fact that some called it a slanted Xbox One makes me question their eyesight.

I really like it because it reminds me of the PS2.
Sony seems to be on a good way with the PS4. Hope they keep their promises.
 
I will probably keep it up vertical and it looks very futuristic imo and classy. Like many others at first i wasnt warm to it because honestly looking at all thos mock up renditions i expected something else, but it wasnt because it was ugly.

I Pre ordered at Gamestop and im very hapyy!! They want 100 dollar minimum.
 
Absolutely love it. The fact it's not a behemoth is icing on the cake.

Hopefully there won't be any noise or heat issues as that is a concern of mine at the moment.
 
Really like it. Has this post-modern look about it that you don't get with the Xbone or Wii U. If the blue light pulses, I'm going to die.
