Who said it needs to be on by defaultIt would have been stupid to have it at launch and on by default. There would have been a shit tone of stories about how games are broken on their new machine.
it could definitely help Just Cause 3Will this fix Just Cause 3? I'd like to finally boot that game up lol.
Will do in one hour if someone doesnt do ot beforeI don't think anyone is expecting much more than that.
Edit, someone please test Witcher 3 asap.

It should called Beast Mode!
Does bloodborne run above 30 frames a sec? I would love that game to be 60 frames a sec if possible.
Just got the email with the code! But I'm at work
I'm so gonna try DS3 and BB when I reach home!

BB is capped at 30 so unfortunately notDoes bloodborne run above 30 frames a sec? I would love that game to be 60 frames a sec if possible.
If this works, why make it an option?
Is there a downside for using Beast Mode?
Perhaps they didn't activate it at the PS4 Pro launch to avoid an out of stock situation.
Could this affect Destiny at all? Pretty sure that is a locked 30 fps but I'm sure it drops with a lot of stuff happening on screen (e.g. Siege Engine).
Please do
For the billionth time, it's capped at 30.
As people have already said, sometimes gamelogic is tied to frame rate, this could mess that up.
Only example I've ever personally come across it was in a old pc game, "Call of Cthulu Dark Corners of the Earth", where if you have ...pretty much any machine nowadays, there's at least one section that becomes completely unbeatable early on where you have to escape a room, without doing something to limit your own framerate.
Granted, it probably won't be a problem here often, but it can happen.
not that i'm really doubting you, but was this ever confirmed? only asking because i saw people saying until dawn was capped at 30 as well when it's actually not
Guys, I remember back when the Pro was still launching people were discussing how some games couldn't take advantage of a possible boost due to how said games had computiational stuff tied to the actual framerate.
Any examples of what games could, in theory, suffer from that?
This is good news. Makes PS4 Pro a little more attractive.
Should be fun to revisit the old threads where some members were claiming it would be irresponsible to add such an option because of game stability etc
Oh Yeah. Will try that oneUntil Dawn is the game to test with this. It has massive frame drops at most times. If boost mode can fix that, it can fix anything.
