Wait, so for 90 pages no one else bothered to test SOMA and everyone here relied on a single post claiming it crashes?

I had tested it, but perhaps my post got missed. For me the framerate tanked though I'm happy to test again - note, I was someway into the game and not the very start.

All boost mode does is enable the Pro clocks and CU's if The Divison has a Pro patch then it's already running at its full potential.

Supposedly the Pro patch for the Division improves the framerate and offers better shadows and reflections.

First of all. It's not being advertised, it was even listed in the beta features. And no it doesn't boost, it only unlocks the full hardware capabilities to non-pro games, to possibly boost perfomance on those titles.

Dammit, didn't realize I had to opt in to get beta access for firmware updates. I opted in yesterday but I'm worried it's too late.

I never cared about any prior to this one, only reason I want this one is for the Pro Boost mode support, especially since right now I'm replaying Bloodborne and Until Dawn.

It seems a few of the members of GAF were right to suspect it was more of the CPU/GPU/RAM being clocked back up, rather than all the compute units being turned back on.

For the various benefits to performance we're seeing, and only a handful of broken games so far, it's a great solution and means we can still get more out of games with official Pro support.

it's hard to say for sure, there may have been further optimizations in future patches even before the pro patch
