PS4 owners: would you have bought TitanFall?

Maybe, because I only play 1 or 2 fps.

Battlefield has become my go-to and recently I've been either skipping COD games until they're cheap to play with friends or skipping them altogether.

The repetition of online shooters and the time sink they become makes me hesitant to buy more than a couple.

Certainly. Depending on when the Xbone drops to $400, I may get a copy before Titanfall 2 comes out, I guess we'll see. I may be able to run it on my current PC but am thinking of building a new rig sometime this year as well.

I've watched some Titanfall videos and I just don't like the COD frantic pace it has. The players run, turn, shoot, too fast and unrealistic. Its like no strategy to it. If you are not a veteran quick twitch COD player, prepare to be kill streak bait. I'm more on the Battlefield's large scale normal speed gameplay side of things.

I would have gotten it because it's the big thing and having played the PC beta it's definitely fun, but I'm also not too heartbroken about missing it with infamous, ground zeroes, south park, and DS2 all out or coming out around the same time

I am not into multiplayer-only first person shooters, so no, I would not have picked up a PS4 version had it been made.

I did not buy Titanfall for my gaming PC either. I can understand why some people are upset when a thrid party studio is paid to ignore a certain platform, but that's business. The best way to express your dissatisfaction is with your wallet: Don't buy it.

TF reminds me a lot of an old PC game named Tribes, but with smaller maps. I was so horrible at that game...

Are you saying this isn't a realistic depiction of real world giant mech fighting?

I love sci-fi shooters but I am more of single player shooter guy who dabbles in multi-player so I wouldn't have bought this without a single player campaign.

Sure, I'd have picked it up. Looks like a lot of fun! I'm too old for this console wars shit.

Imagine I said that like the grizzled veteran that acts like the tutorial section for the new player before sacrificing himself, like half an hour in.

I still might buy it for my PC but I've got no rush because Dark Souls 2.

I have "critical mass", a.k.a a large enough group of friends to enjoy multi-player games on the Xbox 360, the Playstation 4, and to a lesser extent the PC.

I know only a small handful of people that bought an Xbox One, so Titanfall would be a bad choice on that platform for me no matter what.

Don't own a PS4 yet but yes I probably would get it for PS4 if it was 1080p at 60fps. I still plan on getting it for PC after it drops to $30.

No, CoD isn't my thing. Run & gun is shit, even if they did add robots.

The reason I chose the PS4 is that Sony historically doesn't focus on dudebro games.
Let's be real here. Japan is not going to by the xbone. So pretty much all japanese game development will be focused on the PS4. So if like me, you want JRPGs, then the PS4 is the only way to go.

So yeah, Titanfall never held any interest for me. Neither does Destiny for that matter. It's just not my cup of tea.

No. It looks cool, but I'm not interested. The lack of a singleplayer campaign is also a turnoff for me.

If I ever change my mind, which is doubtful, I'll get it on PC.

No. If I wanted to I could have bought Titanfall for my PC or 360. But the lack of single player content/mode squarely puts Titanfall on the DON'T BUY list for me.

I'm not a huge FPS multiplayer guy, and none of my friends have gone next-gen yet, so no. I am looking forward to Titanfall 2 though, as it'll likely have a single player mode and my friends available to play some team games.

I played the PC beta. No desire to play it for full price on PC, may end up getting in later this year if it's on a Steam sale or something. No more or less interested in it on PS4 vs PC.

No. I don't play FPS games or online only games that require a subscription and cost a significant cost upfront.

PS4 - Not likely.
Xbone - NO.

PC - Likely. My pc is a beast. However, once ive learned it as 6 vs 6 my interest dropped heavily. I like custerfuck fps games, Planetside 2 has filled that void. I used to get COD on the pc for the modded 64 player severs and played battlefield. I loved MAG aswell.

I hear good things about the AI however, so when its cheap ill pick it up.

Probably not. Not really into sci fi shooters. I definitely would have been all over the beta and interest is climbing for Destiny as well. Wasn't into halo, wasn't into quake or any of those.

But I'm more of an SOCOM, Battlefield Bad Company 2 and old school Ghost Recon kind of shooter.

While the mech stuff is interesting, all that wall running etc just doesn't interest me.

My destiny interest is more about its mmo style appeal that reminds me of the original announcement for Huxley for 360, not so much the sci fi shooter part.

I would have bought it in a heartbeat on PS4. Now I'm stuck in front of a PC monitor playing it instead of relaxing on my couch.

I really need a non-lag inducing way to stream wireless to my HDTV. But I fear that isn't technologically possible at this point.

I would have for sure. I fell out of CoD's awhile ago but I played some Titanfall Beta at my buddies place and it just feels different.

It was so much fun running around as a pilot pestering the titans.

I'm fairly conifdent Titanfall 2 will come to PS4. It is way to much of an install base for them to pass up. Especially when PS4 is almost double XB1 . Although Titanfall will push more XB1 units.

No, I wouldn't have. At least not until it hits a bargain bin at sub $20 level. It's also Origin exclusive on PC so I probably won't pick it up ever on account of that.

Nah, I played the beta and had my fill. I'm really over the COD style gameplay which this plays extremely similar too. Plus I have KZ and BF4 and am looking for more SP oriented stuff. Not to mention all the games I'm buying in March.

Plus I have a capable PC so I have the option to buy it.

it is probably safe to say that about the same number of PS4 owners (relative to PS4 ownerbase) would have purchased it as XB1 owners.

No.

I'm not really a fan of competitive mulitplayer shooters. Maybe if it had a good campaign, but that would've been extremely unlikely.

Would have tried the beta at least. Who knows, may be fun but looks way to fast paced for me. On the flip side, MS and EA inked a deal, EA completely fkd up BF, and I'm not in the mood to reward either company at this point.
