Have to agree with others: Not really a fan of the triple decker design or the power/eject buttons. Just feels uninspired.
Is there any information so far on how the HDD will be accessed for replacement? Short of popping off the entire top, the only other thing I can see in these images would be the area just beside the ethernet cable port in the back. Perhaps that's a removable bit to access the HDD tray.

Yeah, that's an improvement in my eyes. Consoles don't need to be energy efficient.
Even the launch OG PS4 only just made it without one of those three pronged cables, as it was rated for 250 watts, the maximum allowed without one. Later revisions dropped that figure, however.

Why do people compare them? Sony intentionally lowballed their internals and aimed for this year at a low price point with the reasoning being that an iterative unit should reflect more modesty.
MS are coming out 12 months later trying to take back the power crown. They are different approaches entirely

I really like the design of the Pro - the Slim feels like it was squished, and it looses the personality of the OG PS4 design.
Meanwhile, the PS4 Pro gets that personality back and does more with it. I'm liking the light strip location on it and the substantial feel.

It looks absolutely absurd. I can't believe how well Sony did at the beginning, how bad they are screwing up now and how well Microsoft is doing.
Microsoft nailed it with the Xbox One S design along with having a UHD drive for $299. Meanwhile, Scorpio is set to blow the Pro out of the water.

Looks stupid, not a deciding factor for me though. Will definitely be picking one up.
One of these consoles will be over $100 cheaper and 1 year earlier on the market.

Well for one thing, they were actually in competition. But they aren't now. These iterative units are not going to be anything in the long run compared to what their base console sales will be.

Perhaps. But that is besides the point. PS Pro and Scorpio are definitely very much similar things and will be in direct competition, so it is very logical to compare them.
I'm still not clear how company strategy has anything to do with it.

In terms of design, I think it's actually a throwback to fat ps2. Like a fat ps4 / fat ps2 hybrid.

Eh, I don't think it looks bad. It looks pretty decent to me. I'm not in any hurry to upgrade from my OG PS4, however.

It's actually really beautiful,imho. But then again, I loved the slim design as well.

This joke has already probably been done to death, but I think it's hilarious it just looks like a straight up PS4 with half of another PS4 stacked on top of it. A literal PS4.5

IMO, I think the reason the Pro doesn't really look amazing is the matte, textured plastic they're using on it and the slim. If it was a little good side, it'd pop more.
