PS4 Really Need a Better Way of Sorting Games

Really wish they would fix it. Right now I would say the PS4 UI is the biggest mess and UI I least like using, and I own a 3ds, Wii U, Vita and X1... It's just baffling to me that something they even got right on the vita they can't seem to do for the PS4. (Folders and actual organization)

the top 15 most recently used apps are always in front of you. the entire point is so you dont have to spend time organizing shit into folders

edit: better filtering on the FULL game library screen, yes. but on the main dashboard? what the fuck are you guys doing, playing 30 different games at once?

This is the best solution for what Sony has given us.
I just wish we could move the Library to first slot or something.

No question about it. Since day 1 I didn't like my PS4's XMB and was utterly confused at all the people who praised it. The layout simply sucks and isn't very intuitive. The PS3's XMB is still extremely slick looking to me.
I agree that it's annoying, but why is it urgent?
You delete demos just like you would delete anything else.
This is basically how I've felt every time I see something in a Sony UI that I don't like.
I think it's one of the big reasons I play my X1 more than my PS4. I just can't stand the interface.
But they stay in the Library even after you delete them, cluttering it up even more. That's the problem.

Just installed a 2tb last night, went into the setting option and unchecked the "limit number of apps/games on home page" or something along those lines.....
Most recent played apps/games stay on the far left but I agree sort should be implemented b/c I had the same thoughts last night after reinstalling like 20 games.

Except when I delete a demo it's still there like its a game I paid for. If I delete a demo on Steam, my Wii U or 3DS it's gone from everywhere until I download it again. Ps4 demos and betas stay in your library forever, so you get icons for betas that have finished and demos you'll never play again cluttering it up.
It's all because Sony decided to basically make your library the download list as well. Microsoft did the same thing but it at least allows you to delete things from your library.
I agree. If it's something that's so important for you to pin why isn't it on the recent list anyways? I guess if a bunch of people are using the system on the same account...
Also remove apps we're never gonna use

The only features I've used after a software update:
- System Software 1.60 - Wireless Headset Support
- System Software 2.00 - USB Music Playback
PS4 software updates are a mess.

I don't disagree that they need a better search, but it's one of the reasons I love the simple voice search on the PS4.

I honestly believe the OS is incapable of the modifications people want and that it needs, this is why they can only add minor tweaks to the system.

It would be nice to have "automatic play" option for the game or app for when you turn the console on. My wife hates having to navigate to the the Playstation Vue app since I cut the cable...lol

Ok, I am a huge fan of the folders on PS3. I would love to see something similar on PS4.
However, it is not a huge chore to cycle through your games, you can do it! Go to your Library, there they are, in alphabetical order, and you can cycle through them. You can even change how many games it shows at once before scrolling.
