At least these updates install in like 30 seconds.
A lot of the .01 updates weren't necessary on the PS3 to play online, does that apply for PS4?

Just curious, but has anyone ever actually noticed a noticeable difference in "system stability" after one of these updates?

It's gonna take quite a few fw upgrades to fix that ps4 wobbliness.
System stability = bug fixing.
Last update fixed the save file upload bug the previous firmware introduced. I assume this one is for the broken share function. PEACE.

I hope this fix the messed up license check. After latest updates my games /apps keep locking every time I turn on my PS4 after a while of inactivity

Wonder if it brings Share any closer to working correctly.
IMO they are still attacked by hackers and patch the holes in these updates.
It's funny because I've double tapped the share button to start a recording when playing the UFC demo. After the match I play I go to the share menu and my video is no where to be found. Share feature is a joke.

it took yeears for them to fix it on ps3. is this the same firmware team? i really hope not. if they can't even fi a fucking clock on the ps3 for years i have no hope.

In all seriousness, I prefer Sony's approach to patching.
Of course, I am one of those oddballs who gets excited about updating all of his various devices. It urks me to no end when I discover friends who try to avoid downloading updates in circumstances where they can. I've actually turned on my phone a few hours after going to bed to update because it will relax me.

Mine does, but I don't go around poking the boxes under my TV, so it stays still.
That is my most hated feature on the PS3, I really hope it's optional when they implement it.

Are you saying we just don't understand how to use the feature? It doesn't work like it's supposed to, and that's an indisputable fact. It's supposed to be automatically recording your gameplay at all times (you're not supposed to have to manually start recording), and at any point you are supposed to be able to press Share and find the last 15 minutes of footage waiting. It very rarely actually works like that.
