PSA: Persona 4 Golden is $19.99 on US PSN

Sorry guys. I'll be playing the godlike Soul Hackers and next month SMT IV, muahahahaha.

you know, i never got why people think this is the best rpg ever. I honestly enjoyed the school parts better than the dungeon crawling. Maybe it's because i'm just not a big SMT combat system fan which is overally dependent on fusing and luck. Pretty much the only times i die in persona 3-4 were from random crits to protag which is more annoying than me feeling like i messed up somewhere.

People, like me, really enjoy the Persona series because it feels like an amazing anime that has the elements of the SMT series in it

I have always thought of Persona 3 & Persona 4 to be more of visual novels than actual JRPGs, but they are still a blast to play if you're into anime and such

So this is a price drop, not a sale I'm missing out on?

I don't have a Vita yet but when I do this is the first thing I'm playing on it, so I want to know if I miss this, if I miss this price.
It's not listed in the price drop category on the SEN store, so it's most likely a week-long sale.

Thanks. I really wish the PSN store would have like a slash through the price to denote that it's a sale. They only do that when there's a difference between the "sale price" and the "PS+ sale price" which is all fine and well, but I missed the Final Fantasy sale a couple months back because I thought they had just repriced them.

Even though I thought 4 was pretty shitty in comparison to 3 this is still a must buy at that price if you're at all interested.

I don't have a Vita, so will need to stick to playing Persona 4 on PCSX2 instead... think I can handle that.

Yes!!! I missed the last sale. I almost made a week without buying a game on PSN. Maybe I am the only one but PSN has been my new Steam in terms of crazy buying binges lately.

Just had the sad realization that I have nowhere near enough space on my measly 8 gig card for this :(

I could probably squeeze P3P though and I missed it during the last sale

I hate turn based combat so the dungeons and fighting were a chore for me.

But the rest of the game was amazing, definitely worth it for this price. If Europe gets it for anywhere near this price I might rebuy it.

How big is the digital version? Might sell my retail copy and grab this so it's always on my Vita.

Favorite game on the Vita, favorite jrpg of all time.

Personally, it's not my favorite Persona title, but 20 bux ain't that bad for P4G.

You would have to be a fool to pass this offer up.

God dammit. I shouldn't have bought this. I knew I was wrong to jump the gun.

I think the opening is only boring because you don't care about the characters yet. Going back and playing it a second time is probably more enjoyable for me since I got pretty attached to the characters throughout the game. Don't know if that will stop your worrying though...

Yeah, with my crazy work and relationship schedule being the way it is, I just don't have the time to spend on games like this.

I bought Persona 3 Portable months ago to play on my Vita, and I've played it a grand total of 0 times.

What the hell is this about a slow start? It's story, but it's a story based game... You
fall into the TV
after like an hour. I know 99% know of that spoiler :P

You'll find tons of time after having played it for the first time. Go to bed early with your Vita and start up Persona 4 or Persona 3 (haven't played it yet).

This was the game that really returned my faith for JRPGs this year. There was quite bit of a slot where I really was thinking ''traditional'' JRPGs either just were kinda meh nowdays or I grew out of them. Then I played Ni No Kuni and I really liked it, after I played P4G and I LOVED it. One of the best JRPGs ever made.

And yeah ^^ this game doesn't really have a slow start. ESPECIALLY by RPG standards.

Is P3P on sale too? Or has it been $10 on the PSN for a while?

Considering a double dip on P3P just to have it on my Vita. Going to be playing through it again for max social links anyway.

Also to be fair the first 4 hours are by far the worst part of the game so I can see someone not knowing what to expect being frustrated by the intro.

If you own a Vita and you dont own this game, you are a poopy head. Do you really like being a poopy head?

I don't own it anymore, finished it and sold it for $35. I still have the PS2 version though. I might get the digital version if it drops to $10 somewhere down the road.

Can anyone explain why it's so good after the first 4 hours or so? I don't care about spoilers, but feel free to use a spoiler tag for other people in the thread.
