How do you account for the doubling in size? There aren't that many voices and text takes up next to nothing.

The reason I'm on about this is I'm almost 100% sure my old demo was the same 3 holes every time.

At the very least, I'm pretty sure that the European demo is a different course from the HK one, so it's worth getting the new demo if you haven't imported the game.

Perhaps they didn't compress the audio as much as the Japanese version. Or there's more than just English dubbing in there.

I've had the original demo off the JP store since day one--it's always behaved the same way.

Anyone else dislike the dubbing job on Everybody's Golf? I have the Japanese demo as well and prefer to play that. I was planning on buying this but the localization may make me rethink that.

GHIII Aerosmith DLC on PSN tonight

Just a quick heads up - it’s not PLAYSTATION Store Update Thursday, but Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock owners will find something new to play coming to the store this weekend.

Add-on content: Aerosmith’s “Dream On” (16.1 MB)

The song will show up at midnight tonight (Pacific Time), and stay up until 11:59pm (Pacific Time) this Monday, February 18th. And it’s free.

What’s the special occasion? Fans of plastic Gibson guitars and Steven Tyler & Co will soon be in luck.

Chair Entertainment to Create Ender's Game PLAYSTATION Network Title

Chair Entertainment is going to be collaborating with author Orson Scott Card to create a downloadable PLAYSTATION Network game based off the book, Ender's Game.

"I have been a huge fan of Ender's Game since I was ten years old, so it is a true honor for our team to be entrusted with creating the first video game inspired by this classic story,” commented Donald Mustard, creative director at Chair Entertainment Group. "Our goal is to create an authentic Ender’s Game experience that delivers awesome gameplay and can be enjoyed by both longtime fans and gamers new to the series."

"From the moment I started working with Donald Mustard and his team at Chair, I knew that these were the guys I wanted to do the first Ender's Game video game,” said Orson Scott Card. "It's not enough to slap the Ender's Game name on just any game--it has to be exciting, memorable, and endlessly replayable. Chair shares my understanding of this and I am looking forward to working with them to ensure the game is as authentically Ender-ish as possible."

When we know more about this PLAYSTATION Network title, we will update you and let you know.

Interesting. I could very easily see parts of that book becoming a PSN game.

Was a great book.

Oh, it should be mentioned the specific part of that book is the Battle Room, the game is called Ender's Game: Battle Room.

PixelJunk Monsters expansion pack coming soon

Posted Feb 18th 2008 10:00AM by Chris Powell
Filed under: PlayStation Network, e-Distribution Games

PixelJunk Monsters is probably the cutest game on the PS3 not named LittleBigPlanet, but the game's cuteness isn't the extent to its awesomeness. It's actually a pretty damn fun game, and that's why we're so happy to hear that Q-Games is currently developing an expansion.

Tim R., a gamer who shares our love with the game, emailed Q-Games expressing his need for some more PixelJunk Monsters, and was told "There should be some news about an expansion pack over the next few weeks, so keep your eyes peeled."

So if you haven't had enough of defending your tiny villagers from the rampaging monsters, you'll apparently have some new content to satisfy you very soon.

It's not too shabby, but after a day or two of playing I don't intend on revisiting it again.
So basically it doesn't have the replay value of this game.

Pixel Junk Monsters is quickly becoming my most played game whenever my friends are over. I never really get into it myself it's just perfect for multiplayer. Probably because I have the game beat in co-op but not in single player.

The Japanese store has updated today (21st) with an add-on for Toy Home ("Toy Home: 2nd Gear") for 500 yen, plus a Burnout Paradise trailer.

The Pixel Junk Monsters news and the Ender's game news probably need their own threads.

Good to hear PJM is expanding for sure. I love that game.

The Ender's game thing was a complete surprise, and a "WTF?" moment for me. But the more I think about it...you could do some really interesting things turning that into a game.

Dutch Store finally has Snakeball for 7.99 Euro.

Echochrome slated for summer in North America
Written by: Spencer on February 20th, 2008 @ 12:56 am

Echochrome could act like a cerebral stimulant for mentally estivating students. The perspective perplexing, puzzle/platformer is due to arrive on the PlayStation Network this summer. Japan gets it a few months earlier in March and in two SKUs. When I spoke to a representative from Sony Computer Entertainment America I inquired if they will follow a similar strategy for North American . I was told plans for the PSP version were up in the air and the summer slot is specifically for the PlayStation 3 version. Don’t take this conversation as confirmation that the PSP version got the axe, its fate has not been sealed.

I also caught the title screen says “knock on the door” underneath echochrome. Could this be the clever subtitle for the lighter PlayStation 3 version?

Update: A member of Sony's PR team updated me with information that Echochrome is actually due out in the Spring.

Do we have any inkling of what we'll be getting today? I can't even think of anything big that has been rumored/hoped for in the US?

Echochrome arrives in North America earlier than Summer
Written by: Spencer on February 20th, 2008 @ 7:32 pm

While continuing to dig around for a solid answer on the PSP version of Echochrome I spoke to Scott Goryl, a Public Relations Specialist from SCEA, who told me Echochrome is actually on target for a Spring release in North America. However, this date is currently only for the PlayStation 3 version. They are evaluating the PSP version and if they will bring it to North America or not. (This is consistent with the earlier report I wrote up.)

I followed up with questions about the extra levels, if they would come out as a download pack, and if the canvas mode will remain part of the PlayStation 3 package. In response he explained, the feature list for the PlayStation 3 version has not been announced yet.

You can get it on the EU store. Like, right now.

America first buddy!

I'm a patient guy, but maybe I'll set up a Euro account when I get home. Is there a step by step anywhere for setting up a Japanese account? I tried to do it the other day and I got lost in the language. I'm hoping the same doesn't happen with the Euro account, what the hell does colour even mean?

Make a norwegian or polish account, for the epic lulz.

Oh, and I think colour means color, but I'm not really sure. I'll try to babelfish that.

"Money Idol Exchanger (PS1) - ¥600"!!!

Is the PS1 version any good?
Finally gave in and bought it. Yes, it's good.

Only 80MB, but voice acting and animation are intact. Especially good looking on PSP.
