An open Home beta thursday would be nice. Or a un-uglying of the Store would be a real plus. Shit, throwing a few more servers up on PSN would be ace, especially if one is much closer to my house.

It's probably nothing more than store maintanance and improvement, little tweaks, nothing we'll see.

I'm guessing they're just preparing it for the update on thursday, which will probably consist of some trailers, and maybe a new PSN game, nothing major.

Also, I don't think 2.0 will release prior to Septemeber. I'm thinking, at the earliest, the next update will be around Aug 28th (for Warhawk) and will update support for Warhawk, Heavenly Sword, Lair, etc etc blah blah blah.

That's my theory anyway.

This is just routine maintenance and FW updates go up the night of the 4th wednesday of the month, except for those 2 small patches (1.81 and 1.82) we got.

This is about the PS Store, not about how you don't have games. I'm sure there are dozens (upon dozens) of other threads for people to complain it.

If I could change it, I'd keep the current "engine", look & feel. But on the homepage, you only see some announcements, ads and news. The actual content is behind 4 big buttons that direct you to:

movie theatre
...has movie news, trailers, full downloads, Blu-ray news & trailers, interviews, behind-the-scenes, etc.
You can search for a movie (by title or even cast, director, etc.) or sort a full list to your likings.

music hall
...has music news, songs, full albums, music videos, interviews etc.
Also has a search tab, along with a full list of artists.

gaming lounge
...has all the gaming content.
Every game has it's own page in here, where devs themselves can add info, news, screenshots, trailers and even demos, add-on content and full games.
You can search and sort by title, developer, release date, platform (PS2, PS3, PSP), etc.

living area
...everything they want to give us or tell us about, which is not related to movies, music or gaming.

Finally, there's one centralised checkout / shopping cart for all departments combined.

This kind of attitude is why Sony still dissapoints so often.


As a fan of Sony, I'm downright furious at how half-hearted they've been with simple things such as PS Store updates. Long periods with no demos and still no regular PSOne game updates. The fact that they only update one day a week is just absurd. And I'm going to bitch and moan until they get their shit straight.

I dont thionk third party demos are in control of Sony. They can ask for one, but if the publisher doesnt send them anything, they cant really do anything.
