I received an email for Platinuming Bloodborne, but there was no code for a theme in the congratulatory email =/

US.

And to clarify, for some reason they do the congratulations and platinum theme code separately. So I received three identical emails congratulating me, and then two identical (but slightly different - they sent me a different code the other day) emails giving me the theme. I'm not entirely sure why that is, you'd think that they'd just send out a code with every congratulatory email rather than sending two separate ones, but then I'm also not sure why I've received multiple congratulations and themes.

If you only just received the congratulatory email today, I'd wait a few days - the platinum theme may be on its way. Both times I got it, it was three days after the initial email.

I got the platinum December of 2015 and received the same email back then.

Over a week? Wow, that's really strange. What the hell is the trigger for them to send it out? Somehow I got two themes, and then we have a ton of people in here never getting them at all.

Sorry, I gave it away basically as soon as I got it. If by some strange occurrence I do get another, I could offer that to you. I'd joke about how improbable that is, but considering I got a second one in the first place... I guess it's not unrealistic to consider I could somehow end up getting more.

Only emails I get from PlayStation are funds added or receipts. Not sure what happened.

Make sure this box is checked under your SEN account settings page.

I used to have the same issue but now I get emails from PlayStation.

Got the Infamous, Bloodborne, and Dragon Age emails in the last couple days.

Bloodborne I Platinum'd two weeks after launch, Infamous was summer 2015 I think and Dragon Age was early 2016

Just recently I got an email for the Ratchet & Clank Platinum + a code for an avatar.

I think they only do it for PS4 exclusives.

I think so. I opted into some PSN mailer after they started giving away PSN codes over the holiday. Very likely these are tied to that.

Sounds like a market-specific CRM campaign. Everyone with a loyalty scheme does them, but they're set up for a given market. The marketing teams in one country generally aren't talking to the marketing teams in other countries.

Given that one email-recipient in this thread has stated they're in the US, and I haven't received one (here in the UK), I can only assume this is a US-based email campaign tied in with trophies. This would make sense as the UK (which abides by EU's consumer marketing practices) generally keep their data silo'ed, ie. not mixing trophy info with the marketing mailing lists, unless the consumer has explicitly allowed for that by opting-in in the T&C's.

(In case you're thinking, "My company doesn't do that and we're in the EU," then I suggest you read up on the impending consumer-protection GDPR data regulations taking effect next year.)
