There is a back door method of accessing the old version of the store, which I posted about a few months ago in the following thread

You can still access the "old" PlayStation Store on the Web, including PS3, PSP, and PS Vita games. Here's how.

I did access the old store using the old URL few weeks ago just fine.
It was for a guy asking about the PS2 for PS4 list that is only accessible from the old web store.

Yeah. I mean, I haven't bought much lately, but two of the new "improvements" really bug me:

a) In the search box, there's no autocomplete whatsoever. So you have to type something and press enter and hope that the search (which wasn't, and isn't, great) figures out what you were after
b) It's not uncommon when I view a game, there's no option for me to buy it. No link/button to click whatsoever (and no price either)

The latter one is especially bizarre. Like, doesn't Sony want my money? I understand that PSP/PS3/Vita games were cluttering the store, and I appreciate (given I don't own any of those, I'm not lamenting their existence in the store) there's less stuff to browse. But here's a novel idea - a per-session filter so you can ignore those results? Or choose just those results, if you're so inclined?

I miss the old store as well. It may have looked a little outdated, but who cares. It worked much faster, it offered screenshots & videos on game cards and most of all it gave you some search engine filters. Changes for the sake of showing that you're doing something or to cater to mobile users while forgetting about desktop users are the worst.

Its possible that some regions are affected differently. The link for the US (from the Reddit thread) still seems to be working today, at least as far as loading up the PS Store page. I haven't tried making any purchases there lately.

I just viewed the old version of the Canadian Store. I checked the PS Plus free games section and it's showing content from months ago.

Sure, but last week I wanted to know if Dino Crisis 1 and 2 are on psn but there's no way to know other than using the clunky store on the ps3.

I think Sony changed something in the backend for PS5, hence the new store. They didn't get it "complete" before the PS5 release, but had no real choice.

The old storefront does still work to see new games and latest addons, but discount sales and PS+ stuff never gets updated since like Halloween of last year. DON'T buy anything from the old store as you might get ripped off if it was on sale currently, just use it for reference and then search for it on the new store.

I'll tell ya, the new storefront is so horrible that it just has to be gimping Sony's overall sales when people can't find what they're looking for. I mean, obviously Sony isn't hurting for sales, but they gotta be making less than they could be. How can they not realize that?

Oh cool. Just aren't really being made prominent. But I see them now if I search.

There's also no filter for them.. so you can't just see PS5 games?

edit: yeah tried fiddling with the URL after filtering PS4 games and changing it to ps5_full_games but it didn't work.

Sony fucked up big time with this "overhaul" of their webstore, some days in Edge the fucking prices didn't show up, while other days they unfucked that and then another aspect wouldn't work. Sony is good at fucking things up when they think they're fixing it.

They really trashed the store for no reason. Getting rid of wishlists and sorting options was dumb, but I also hate an endless scroll of random games with no organization. Going through the last sale was a chore so I just didn't bother.
