PSP Mod Creator Visits RAD

Didier Malenfant said:
You might remember this really cool God of War PSP Mod that was in the news a little while ago. Its creator, Ramon Stokes, put it up on eBay with portions of the proceeds going to charity.

Well, you know how we do, we couldn’t let this one pass so we used our ninja eBay sniping skillz to outbid all the competition and claim this really cool piece of hardware all to ourselves…while at the same time doing something cool for Child’s Play.

But we didn’t stop there. In order to make sure the PSP wouldn’t get damaged during shipping, we flew its creator Ramon over to Southern California to hand-deliver it, meet the team and get to play the soon-to-be-released Chain of Olympus demo. We’re passionate people and we like passionate people so we were all super jazzed to meet the guy behind this one-of-a-kind handheld. Of course, getting to see the game in action before anyone else wasn’t bad for him either :)

Check out the pictures we took during his visit. In case you’re wondering, the PSP will make its way to our future display case in our brand new offices next year, alongside all the various memorabilia we’ve accumulated since the company started.

Congrats on the mod Ramon, it looks awesome. Can’t wait to see what you do next.

Pics at the site. He was a really really nice guy. I was shocked honestly that, not only did it look really cool, but it also was functional. He says he's probably never going to do a PSP mod ever again though, too many pieces :lol

You guys are moving to a new office? Where at?

A bigger office in Irvine, they haven't shown it to the rest of us yet, so I don't know where it is exactly or what it looks like.

Need more room to expand, we're bursting at the seems at this place :lol

-Is she single?

Cool, good for you guys. I'm not envious of your current office location... not a very picturesque area

If nothing's set in stone, you guys should check out my office building here in Aliso Viejo... We've housed (and still house) a fair share of game developers

Classy move RAD, way awesome.

also, @ flark: I am probably coming to CA for a weekend in September, and will hopefully swing down to the Irvine area one day, and if so, we shall have to damage our livers together. Ever been to Habana's? Best Mojitos I've ever had, still.

haha some of those RAD guys are my schoolmates, good for them they got a nice project gig going

hopefully my game will become big also next year :D

Awesome :D
I was watching the auction, wondering who in their right frame of mind would splash out nearly 2k on a modded PSP. I really hope you guys get all the recognition you deserve, GoW is really shaping up to be the PSP's game of the year!
