PSP screen is cracked pretty badly

What I can tell you is Ive delt with these kind of people. For the excuses hes just giving you it seems he did broke your psp an refuses to pay it. Think of it.
You found it on the floor. As soon as you ask him about the PSP he comes with an excuse and tries to put the fault on you by saying a"are you sure you didnt steped on it?". How the fuck would a PSP fall off a cofee table? Its not a fucking cell phone and it doesnt have rumble. Hes making a fucking drama by slamming doors on your room.

I would have punched him as soon as he came back. I cant believe youre falling for those excuses. Those are old as hell.
Thats why everytime someone asks to lend something of mine I make sure he or she knows how to take care of things. For example; If someone asks me for a 360 game, I make sure all of his other 360 games are in mint condition. I see 3 or more scratched its a big NO.
Your roomie never owned a PSP and doesnt as the money for one. He broke it and he wont pay it. Shame on you. Try to be more careful next time dude.

i think the most telling thing is that it was left by the entrance of your apartment on the floor and that your roomie said 'are you sure you didn't step on it?'

he left it there probably hoping that you would, to duck as much responsibility as possible.

if he doesnt pay, change locks, take something from his stuff that is worth $200 and put it on ebay. put the rest of his shit in boxes and hand it over to him at work
 
If it's a Phat, then order a Camy faceplate. I bought a silver-dragon one from them, and the quality is seamless just like stock, but MUCH better quality plastic. The OEM case is crap, plain and simple. Camy's plates have great molding and are really strong. Only problem I had was one of the holes came stripped on my plate, but otherwise it's way better than the original.

Swapping is easy, but keeping dust out is not. I've had dust problems ever sine I swapped plates. PEACE.

I have no idea how he could break the screen like that without putting some effort into it. I've seen a PSP fall out of the pocket of a coworker on top of a ladder. It fell 10 feet onto cement and bounced. Aside from some scuffing it worked fine after that.
 
Kicking him out is a better option than letting him repay you now. Don't live with people like that.

And you should have made an angry face from the start, it looks like he's holding all the cards now.
 
so, let's say my psp is in good conditions instead, BUT its body is covered in small scratches everywhere. Are there full body replacements for it ? i don't need a new lcd (i do hope there's some plastic in front of the screen itself) just a new..envelope ? (case, faceplate..whatever)

cracking the PSP LCD is pretty hard to do, my brother dropped his many times without it cracking, and it took a friend of his having it in a pocket while playing basketball and falling to get it cracked. that shit takes extraordinary effort, something like a dumb bell, iron, hammer or person dropping onto it.

i'd kick him out post haste.

take your roommate to court. It's the only way to dispute the problem and hopefully the judge will award you in compensations..... that is if you can prove it that your roommate did it.

I'm very surprised that the screen cracked like that. I've really abused my PSP and aside from some scratches on the shell, the screen is perfect.

It has nothing to do with the system, it has to do with respect...the principle of it all. He broke your shit, tried the pass the blame on you, refuses to pay even double digit percentage of the repair costs, and is acting like a fucking drama queen.

You'll have to decide whether his contribution to the bills is worth sharing a place with someone who thinks so little of you. How much of the rent/bills does he pay? If he doesn't really help with bills then the issue is already resolved IMO. Kick his punk ass out.
 
It's clearly not the result of it falling on the floor. Both my PSP's have fell on the floor countless times and nothing ever happened. Though when my LCD did break it was because it got squished while it was in my bag without the pouch, means he clearly did something to it. So yea kick him out.
 
WOW @ this thread. More specifically, the roommate's total lack of respect for another person's property.
