Pushmo/Pullblox World announced for Wii U

I loved the two 3DS games, so I'm really happy about it! And I've always willed for more Nintendo eshop games, considering how I liked Pushmo, Dillon Rolling Western and Sakura samurai for example. Really looking forward for this!
I just hope that the small tidbits they are releasing before E3 imply way bigger megaton for the E3 :\

I don't blame them. It doesn't look all that fresh. To be honest I kind of wish Intelligent Systems would have done something else than a third Pullbox game. At least the sequel to the first game spiced up things a bit but this time around I'm not seeing it.

Not looking fresh and people somehow confusing it for a port or remake are different things, though.

i thought it was an upgraded port just because the tutorial stuff looks exactly like the 3ds game. i'm not even sure it's not a port, despite the name.

Well, all we can say right now is that the official site is claiming 250 new puzzles and shows off four new block types, I believe. If you have evidence that content has been reused, though, I am curious to see it. It's been so long since I played the tutorial stuff for Pushmo.

So Nintendo still didn't get the message that people are asking for something new that shows innovative users of the Gamepad? Especially IntSys could've cooked up something interesting and not just another 3DS-like experience.

all right. if it's actually a new game then i'm in, day one. i managed to almost 100% that bad boy.
...almost.

I really need to play these games but there's too much on the eShop to play.

But guys, Nintendo hasn't made a new IP in 15 years
I can't wait until people snap from "Nintendo has no new IPs" to "Quit making sequels", completely skipping the point where the original game exists by itself

Putting the same games on WiiU and 3DS isn't going to save the WiiU... Nintendo is really lossing it's time doing ports like these... WiiU needs new and original games that differ from the 3DS, its principal rival. These two consoles are canibalizing each other in everything: sales and game production.

Nintendo be like "Should we show this at E3?" and then they be like "Nah, we got enough good stuff. Let them have it now."

Please be true!

Not interested at all... Pullblox was amazing. Really a phenomenal a game. On the other hand, everything was wrong with Fallblox. The puzzles were not challenging, but blandly hard. I didn't enjoy it and I usually like hard games.

According to the bolded, you should be interested in this - it's Pullblox World, not Fallblox World.

Was not a big fan of fallblox but loved pullblox so if the price is right i will check it out :) The new mechanics in puzzles looks fun. Hope there still is the QR sharing because i could find a lot of fun puzzles in the internet and that will also have better filter options.

Day 1 buy! Pushmo has been my favorite puzzle game to come out in quite some time. And seeing as how I still haven't gotten through all the puzzles on the first one, I figure the 250 new ones should last me a while.

YES! Just read this on Silconera. Been hoping this game would come to consoles since the first Pushmo release!

Now all we need is Mallo to make an appearance in Smash Bros.

1000 yen should be about 10US/EUR but Nintendo's usual pricing schemes. Maybe a little cheaper.

Watch dogs has 7 options for anti aliasing and Wii U developers can't even manage one. So cute :P

My god I never thought I would see people calling Nintendo developed games indie. It was bad enough when people started to call Journey indie. Neither are even close.

This looks great anyway, Pushmo is one of the best 3DS eShop games.

Given how much Dropblox seems to be disliked here I can understand why IntSys decided not to complicate things further and decided to go back to basics here. Its kind of nice puzzle games on consoles are not totally dead too.

Thing is with user-generated content and cross-platform compatibility what is to stop someone just making the 250 new puzzles by-eye or have they introduced new mechanics that make these semi-compatible?

I wasn't aware that Fallblox (Dropblox?) was disliked. I thought the general consensus was that it was great, just much harder.

Having missed the first Pushmo and only playing through Crashmo, I'm actually glad they are rolling back to Pushmo mechanics. Frankly the later puzzles in that game were just frustratingly difficult and I was never motivated to solve them all, so I prefer this. Although I almost hoped this franchise could evolve into something that feels more substantial, and putting "World" in the title was a mean tease to my imagination, only to see the setting and gameplay is unchanged.

Putting it on a console feels like a waste if they don't plan to take advantage of if, what about some multiplayer? They call this "puzzle action" but it's been so long since we had some real puzzle action battling, one of Intelligent Systems' specialties. Tweak it up a bit into something resembling Wario's Woods with intense vs. matches and I'd be really excited.

Now that I think about it, split screen multi-player could be a hoot.

At what point did Intelligent Systems become a tiny independant?

No one has a consistent definition of the term "indie".

Hell, strictly speaking, since Intelligent Systems is a first-party Nintendo studio, and Nintendo is publishing the game, you could say that Nintendo is developing and publishing this game on their own, which would make it an "independent" game and thus an "indie".

Budget seems to have never been a qualifier for what is or isn't an indie game: Minecraft and World of Tanks are considered indie depending on who you ask because they're digital-only games, distributed without a publisher other than the developing entity (again: the same applies to Pushmo and its sequels).

I wanted to get Pushmo for 3DS but haven´t yet. Will pick up the Wii U one and maybe the 3DS as well.

Is it the same game?

Loving the look of the game.

it's the same franchise, but the 3DS and the Wii U games are two different games.
They'll share the user generated levels through Miiverse
You can get the 3DS with a discount, btw (while to have the discount on the Wii U one you should have purchased both the 3DS episodes)

Thanks! Will probably get Pushmo for both then.

I must reveal my secret shame here: I got stuck on that dang "Boo" bonus puzzle in Pushmo and never fully completed it. As a result I bought but never played Crashmo. I tried that "Boo" for HOURS.

:(

One day I shall triumph... one day.

This looks really good. The Miiverse aspect looks swell. It also seems to have Stamps, which I like. Count me in on the 19th!
I'm starting to dig the fact more games are including stamps since they make for nice unlockables. Now if Nintendo could start putting them on 3DS games & perhaps get 3rd party companies to do the same for either or both systems.

The North American page is up. So, a June 19th worldwide eShop release is cool, and they'll probably still go over it during the Digital Event on June 10th, but why reveal it beforehand? Are they making room for announcements they feel are more important to make?
